    Hi all

Good to see everyone embracing yellow labels! Had a crappy start to the week at Morri/Tes, which was crap cos i was running relatively low.

    HOWEVER!

Last Night went first to Morri as i had been to Boots and its right next door and got loads for less than a fiver, incl. two packs of GU puddings for 75p, they are my fave!

    Then popped into Co-op
Got £3 parma ham for 50p
Fresh pasta 39p and loads of other stuff for £2.50

Then had to go to Tes later and got 4 huge bagfuls of stuff for around a fiver!

Happy! Looks like im spending today baking and preparing food to freeze! x

Anyone else here who simply cannot leave behind the yellow sticker flowers?! My home looks like the day after a funeral, but got a lovely bunch of £7 roses for 70p. Plus all the others, I think its such a shame to leave them there!

Does anyone else get really dissapointed when there aren't any decent reducstions? lol
We don't live within walking distance of many shops, i can only manage to get the local co-op petrol station which still takes a good half an hour there and back. Make the effort to walk up there as trying to save the petrol costs and got nothing! The reductions were really bad 3.39 steak reduced to 2.99!
Anyway looks like i will have to stick to my once a week car trip to t's and take into account the petrol costs.

For me Thursday, Friday, Saturday are no go. Tues and Wednesdays are the best days. Thursday/Friday has been so poor for reductions - my guess is that the stores are busy because people often get paid on a Thursday or Friday so the store is busy, so they don't reduce to silly prices. Even the bread reductions were a bit pants on Thursday evening. Also the busier the evening the more likely someone has wiped the shelves clean.
  • wow, can't believe I've been doing this for five years now and only just seen this thread. If I was taller I would be a freegen (bins are too big)
I have found that the best days are Saturday as most peeps are out making the most of the evening down the local, plenty of fruit and veg. Mind you I only have small supermarkets in town. Bread is usually as low as 10p a loaf at Sainsbury and Tesco, and as high as 60p in Coop. M and S wastes the most, but can be as low as 10p. It depends on who is reducing, in my experience. Most people are lovely and are actually pleased to reduce. I've been offered a job on several occassions as it's so easy to spot the dates on items they have missed around the store.
Best bargain this week was a shoulder of lamb for 44p instead of £4.78. Very pleased with that.
I like it when you buy two items and it knocks money off the total, for example, bogof on pizza express pizza, £4 each, reduced price 10p each, -£4 on the rest of the shop, complete bargain!! only happens occassionally, but great when it does! :)
  • :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: "numpty dident realise needs to be cooked! hes ate 1/4 of it" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Hi, I've been lurking, reading posts and this made me laugh out loud!! thanks.

My partner got fed up of a group of women with trolleys blocking what he terms "casualty bay" in Mr T the other day. He's quiet tall, spotted reduced steak mince. Having tried to be polite he just leant right over the top of one womans head......I had to walk away in shame, if I'd have watched any further I may have had to head for the tena lady isle!!!:o A new phrase I reckon "Interception"......
