Wow some really great tips on the Sun hols here!!! :j
I am especially impressed to find out there may be a chance to book an evening ahead of time and that I could use my priority reference twice as I would like my Mum & Dad to come along with us this year.
For anyone looking to book something in the South West, I have been to the following so here's my humble opinion.
Haven, Perran Sands, Cornwall has by far been our favourite, smaller and more personal than Butlins but with plenty to do and in a lovely area. (Been there 3 times)
Butlins Minehead is always a winner, but often busy. We were upgraded to a silver bungalow so really got awesome value for money with that one! But spent far too much whilst there! (Been twice)
Haven, Devon Cliffs was nice but we were surprised that as it was the flagship it was allowed to look a little tatty in some places. But great pool, nightclubs etc. The one thing that put me off a little was there were quite a few 'roughuns' there, in fact a huge fight happened on one night! (Been once)
Pontins- brean sands. OMG rubbish, horrible awful stay well clear!! We paid to upgrade to the top level of accommodation and it wasn't nearly as good as havens basic level. (Been once, never again!!)
We are thinking of trying something new this year, still in the southwest to keep Petrol costs down, maybe Hendra or a smaller lesser known site.
Happy holidaying everyone!V xxx

hey all.....I have gone to Holland Duinrell many times now thanks to the sun holidays, I find that having kids means I run out of money fast and when I stay here, I know I dont have to worry cos the park is free to use and keeps the kids happy when I run out of cash usually on the last day.....well worth going and the park is beautiful and great for long walks round the local town and areas, I cant rate this place highly enough!!!! hope you all get your park choice and thanks for having me here

I'll second that l Love Duinerell. Went with sun hols last July. Back there in May this year.0 -
Just wondering if anyone can help me??
Hi everyone,
not new to this site but new to the forum
We took out first sun holiday in October at a Haven in Weymouth, it was ok but from what I hear there are lots of other parks that are better, for the money I would rather have booked Butlins because there is more to do for our teenagers.
But my main question is when booking online does the 7 night option appear for uk breaks, I don't recall seeing it when I booked last year?
Thanks x0 -
I'm new to this forum but have priority booking which has arrived in the post :-) I'm hoping to go away with my sister and family tho and there will be too many of is for one booking. Unfortunately she doesn't get priority booking as she's never had a sun holiday before. So that we can be guaranteed same site and date I wondered of anyone would be kind enough to share their priority reference number if they are not using it this time round? Many thanks
how many of u are there i think u can book 8 ppl on a sun booking....0 -

I'm going away in May (booked last year) to Haven Devon Cliffs - not been there before as we always tend to choose a Parkdean which have always been very good. I'm hoping this time to maybe get a Fri-Mon deal in October half term, only then have to take the kids out on a Fri, one day won't hurt. Not done Butlins before, so hoping for Minehead.
I am interested in going for a European holiday next year, would like to try and do Disney, has anyone done that? I believe there is a couple of parks in Paris.
Have been to devon cliffs before and its FAB. Great for the kids :j0 -
Hi everyone
I have noticed that the Daily Mail has already started its holiday promotion and is offering the same parks and dates as the Sun, does anyone know if this impacts on the availabilty of Sun holidays?
We would like to go to Parkdean warmwell in the first week of April (easter hoil) or Haven little seaview in a luxury + caravan, but neither of these are available now on the Daily Mail site, so does that mean they will not be available on the Sun site when it goes live???
We had two brillant sun breaks last year, hoping to do the same again!

there is a seperate thread for priority codes going at present
but ask around and do what I do, I collect the codes anyway to sell on ebay
but often I give them away to family , they can then try for a very local 3 night break so the choice of date is not a bother and then they can apply for the online.proud to be a young stroke survivor0
