I think it was Pealy (forgotten your full username, sorry!) that made the spreadsheet.

    Hi all,

I'm not sure I'm going to be able to use my booking this time!! Does anyone know if I give it away will it mean I won't get issued one next time???

Quite happy for someone else to use mine but a bit selfishly will hang on to it if it messes me up for future offers!!!!

Anyone given their code away before?

    x

Hiya, no it won't affect recieving priority codes in the future, have sold/given a few of my priority codes in the past when I haven't been able to use them and still recieve priority codes now....hope this helps :)

I just Checked back on last years thread and the last Code was Cracked at 5:10pm so it looks like the final word was activated towards the end of the office day.
The moment the code was posted can be re-lived here!

Also I came across this automatic checker program that some people were using last year, The words are already in the Words Tab. In the Data Tab you need to put in your priority reference and change the code words to the current words, then say what line you want to start checking from in the Words Tab. Also you need to enable macros.

I believe it was the very clever Mr Doovde :T:)
ok I am having a bimbo moment with this so I am going to ask the questions that appear stupid that others might not want to ask

    1 . how do i enable macros
    2. it opens up on an excel spreadsheet then what ?
    3. is this easy to learn .. ie .. excel the idiot proof guide
    4. do i need to disable macros after ... what is macros ? what do they do ?

thanks so much for anyone willing to help

Can anyone help, I am looking to book a holiday through the Daily Mail and checked direct with Haven to see if it is cheaper. Direct with Haven is £109 - via Daily Mail is £74 - but it does not say with the Daily Mail if you have to pay a service charge, entertainment passes and gas and electric separate. It is included when booking with Haven but wondered if it is the same via Daily Mail.

The holiday will be at Haven Burnham on Sea if anyone has any feedback.

    Thanks

Have just got my invoice from Haven for Burnham total cost is £122. Broken down it is £40 booking through Daily Mail, £30 Electricity service charge, £38 entertainment passes and £14 for linen. We are going 2nd April Easter holidays mon-fri and would have cost us a lot more than this so am very happy with what I have paid. I could take the linen charge off but am going to leave it as it is less for me to carry on the train.

I am going to try for a week at Duindrell for July. This is my first time booking a sun holiday but OH received a priority code in the post. Have been browsing the faqs on the sun website and it shows as £30 a person for 1 week for these dates. As we don't drive has anyone got any recommendations of any other european parks that are easy to get to by flying with a pretty decent public transport to get to see a few sights. Last year we did a week at La Carabasse through clubcard in June but the weather was terrible so it kind of spoilt it for us as there was very little public transport to get around. If the weather had been ok it would have been fine as we could have used the pool and spent time on the beach.

I will be happy to help trying out codewords on Monday. I spotted earlier in the thread that someone has posted a huge list of words sorry I can't remember who. For anyone who uses firefox if you install the split pannel add on you can have both pages up side by side making it easier to check the words without having to swap between browsers.

It depends on the camp site check the listing page for the Haven site on Daily mail it tells you if the entertainment pass is free and service charges. Charge from £4.95 per unit per night.

For Haven Burnham on Sea in Somerset, Service Charge is £7.50per unit per night and Entertainment plus pass £9.50 per person for Spring/Autumn and £11 per Summer break. Under 5's FREE. I hope this helps.

Thanks - the holiday booked direct through Haven is gonna be cheaper then than booking through Daily Mail on this occasion as the service charge would be £30.00 and the entertainment pass would be £19.00 bringing the charge more expensive.

This would be the first time I have booked through the Daily Mail but am a regular sun holiday goer.

I regularly follow and read these posts but don't always post

There is no such thing as a stupid question....

    1. Tools - Macro - Security (medium Security recommended)

    2. You click the button which activates the macro. The macro has been recorded to open the website and fill in the form with the nine code words and the sun ref number. It will also enter one of the words listed on the code sheet (1000's of 4 letter words). To make the process quicker we each work on words starting with different letters of the alphabet.

Macros can be recorded to do malicious things on your computer e.g steal or corrupt your files. You must make sure you trust the macro before running it. This is not easy for a beginner to judge.

    3. Excel can be a challenging program for anyone to learn. To use the file you need only to know how to open the file and click in the cells (little boxes) and enter your sun ref number and code words, then the button to activate the macro.

    4. For reasons explained above it would be a good idea to disable macros after you have finished with the file.

The code breaking file that has been posted will not work as it was created to be used for 8 code words. I have updated this to work for 10 code words. I'm unable to post links because I'm a newbie so I'm waiting on someone to give me their email address so I can send and then they can share on this forum.

    Hope this helps!

"both times I got my codes and checked the internet for when the last code word was broken by die hard sun holiday fans usually the day before its issued and managed to book dates for july when school had just finished - about the 19th "

Unfortunately i have to leave the house at 7.30am & wont be home until after 6pm .
