Again the till wouldn't accept my 200 points when buying three dental products anyone else had this, embarrassing moment where I had to fold up my receipt and take it to be manually added at the main till

Mine went through fine yesterday - but not today. But the SA at the pharmacy till said "don't worry - i will add them on myself at the end".

I thought it might be bacause i had already used the same voucher yesterday - but if thats the case, then why did the advantage card point give me another one?

i asked today as they had only restocked a couple of the vitamins and only had 2 shots left...was told they dont manually order stuff but wait until stock reaches zero and it automatically reorders iitself - very bizarre/stupid system as once it reaches zero there will be at least a day where there is no stock...thus reducing sales ( i know in this instance we're not paying for the items, but in general its a rubbish system!)....

i was told that i could order them into store from the internet, pay for them then return them and rebuy them...but far too much hassle for me!

It's true they have an automatic system but I'm 99% sure it's ordered earlier then when it reaches zero ;) so they either have more in the warehouse and didn't put it out yet or they will get them next day...

Also they CAN order them manually through the little hand scanning machines which can be used to check/correct stock levels

Still working, shots weren't advertised on offer but thought i'd chance it and it worked fine.

Tried the lemon Ricola I'd bought yesterday and their not bad (bit like a strepsil but not got that medicine taste) so got 4 of these, 2 vits and the shots. Bought 3 mens fcuk products and 2 boxes of tissues and only £5.79 to pay. Sa didn't bat an eyelid just asked for the money ! :)

Just been to the liv3rp0ol st station boots and bought:

    6 x multi vits @ 79p each
    6 x shots £1.99 each
2 x kleenex mansize tissues (half price) £1.04 each
    3 x colgate total sensitive £1.55 each (3 for 2)

The ss till wouldn't except my coupon for 250 points when u buy 3 dental products, plus when i clicked to pay it kept saying unsold item and needed the SA's approval. Luckily they allowed it to go through and didn't pay attention to the total of £2.37

    :j:j:jAt last! Found some and did 2 x :

    6 shots
    6 vit c tablets
    2 jumbo packs of allways
    1 Herbal Essences shampoo
    3 Boots mouthwash

Used ACM vouchers of £1 off healthcare, 25% off shampoo, 250 points when buying 3 dental products
TOTAL came to £3.4X!!! That's nearly the price of the shampoo alone!

But I did notice that the shots say not suitable for vegetarians.

Ok the plot thickens on this one. I've been to two stores today but the reciepts are showing slightly different savings.

    Store 1:
    Under the section entitled *** MULTI-SAVE ***
    Revitalise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise .00
    Saving £1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99
    Reenergise .00
    Saving £1.99

    *** 3 FOR 2 ***
    Revitalise 1.99
    Reenergise 1.99

    Store 2:

    No MULTI-SAVE section!!!!

    *** 3 FOR 2 ***
    Revitalise 1.99
    Revitalise 1.99
    Revitalise .00
    Saving £1.99

Previous receipts show that when bought in 3s there is no multi-save, when bought in 6s there is 1 multi-save of £1.99. When buying 12 there were 2 multi-saves so an extra £3.98 off and when I bought 18 there were 3 multi-saves so extra £5.97. These are all on top of the 3 for 2 that the shots are on so this would explain the extra discount thought it makes no sense.

So there we have it, if you can buy in a multiple of 3 and 5 you'd be laughing all the way to ....... well probably the security office if you go for 30 or more! But if I'm right then if you get 10 you'll get all the usual 3 for 2s but the 10th shot will be free as well so useful to know.

the shots go through free anyway - ie on one of my visits I could only find 3 vits but I had found 5 shots (there wasn't a 6th one to be found anywhere in the store). Because I already had the 5 shots in my basket I put them through anyway with the 3 vits - all the 5 shots came up free and the 342s etc worked too on the 3 vits.

Having done the calcs below, I think you were just lucky in getting 5. If you'd gotten 7 shots with only 3 vitamins for example the 7th shot wouldn't have been free. It might make more financial sense to only buy the cheap 3 of the cheap vitamins if that's all they have (some stores are running low on stock from what I've seen & heard) so rather than buy expensive vitamins you could get the shots free anyway and not have the outlay of the vitamins.

If you buy 5 shots you get:

    Vit1 > -1.99
    Vit2 > -1.99
    Vit3 > -1.99
    3for2 > -1.99
    Multi-save > -1.99
    Result = All free

And if you get 6 shots with only 3 vits you get:

    Vit1 > -1.99
    Vit2 > -1.99
    Vit3 > -1.99
    3for2 > -1.99
    3for2 > -1.99
    Multi-save > -1.99
    Result = All free

And if you get 6 shots with 6 vits you get:

    Vit1 > -1.99
    Vit2 > -1.99
    Vit3 > -1.99
    Vit4 > -1.99
    Vit5 > -1.99
    Vit6 > -1.99
    3for2 > -1.99
    3for2 > -1.99
    Multi-save > -1.99
Result = All free plus £5.97 towards your shopping

Finally this glitch is making sense!

stock replenishes as we sell the items through the till so if 4 r sold in one day the system will tell warehouse and the 4 will be picked for next delivery it doesnt wait for stock figure to get to zero ,

I was amazed to find so many shots in central london today, especially after seeing an advert for the free shots in the sun newspaper, lol
I got some bubble bath, handwash etc and the ricola sweets. I love the sweets:)

jtz, did your 250pointer ACM voucher scan ok? TIA:) I bought mouthwash the other day and the pointer beeped. Till said deal not met!

It would be fab if the glitch lasts until the offer ends in feb:)
