EXPIRED Boots Vitamins Discount Error

Thanks Sillymeeee. There is a self scan and I do need a few other bits so will have a go tomorrow.0

Mixing such expensive vitamins with cheaper ones could be a problem as it's cheapest free. I think the 3 for 2 on the vitamin shots would still be ok though. If you're going to try this on an SS I'd scan in the 6 vits without the shots and see how the discount goes. If it takes off 2 of the cheap ones i.e. 2 * £0.79 then take those off the bills and just put through the 3 WellWoman and the 6 shots. If you want the cheap multi-vitamins then do them in another transaction - with more shots of course!0

Yep, used on 81p mouthwash boots brand, second time round didn't work as used a different advantage card to the name on the voucher, only realised when I got home that it didn't go through.:o
That's odd. The ACM vouchers always worked on any card in the past. This must be something new. Same with the amount of ACM vouchers you can print off. At one time you could print off loads of the same voucher, but the finger trick doesn't work any more. You are lucky if you manage to print off 2 of any one voucher!0 -
Thanks for all the info on these
Got 6 shots and 3 vit c and 3 Ricola sweetie things at M Centre.
Never had the sweetie things before but they had no cheap vits left so thought they would be cheapest alternative.
I have no idea how it's work out bought nappies and other stuff and think it gave me all the vits/shots free and a couple of quid off the rest!
can't be bad.
Thinking fo trying my local tomorrow no self scan though and I'm a bit of a wusssssss:j0 -
Trouted AGAIN today! Worked in Redcar today, but she obviously knew there was a glitch as tried it and it came up -£2.81 before entering my other items and said it's taking off the shots as 3 for 2 as well, so she said I can sell you them, but I'm not ringing all 6 shots through as well that was my choice. I mumbled something about needing to go back and check and promptly left!0

Yes I posted about trying this yesterday and tried it myself today to my disbelief it didn't work, tried three other machines in the hope that the màchine was faulty but i didn't get more than 2 printouts per offer either
Good thing I have a few (cough cough) advantage cardsGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
I tried my 2nd 250 points voucher for 3xmouthwash. I gave them a 10% of three mouthwash voucher and then the 250 point voucher and the till refused to take the 250 point voucher as well, so i just got the 10% off. I then did another lot, but, I handed the 250 point voucher first and then the 10% off voucher 2nd (another one I had) and both were accepted. I bought something for £20 and put everything with that so it didn't look suspicious and then I just returned the £20 item to a store down the road for a cash refund.Starting comping middle of October 2011: Wins so far: 2 x concert tickets, a year's supply of Tetley Tea / Tetley mug, F+F 5 shirt with satchel bag:j0

Thanks so much to the OP for this. I can't believe how awesome this glitch has been! :j
It seems to work ok if you mix expensive vitamins with cheaper ones. I got 3 x Vertese Omega oils which were £7ish, 3 x 79p vitamin C and 3 x multivitamins that were £2.50 ish, plus 9 x shots and it cost me around £12. (Sorry I can't remember the exact amounts). The till receipt showed that one of the Vertese, one of the vitamin Cs and one of the multivitamins got deducted from the bill (as well as all the shots discounts).
The guy at the till seemed couldn't believe the total and spent ages looking at the display and checking through everything. He looked like he was going to call someone over but didn't. Then he went through my receipt. I was feeling a bit worried. In the end he wrote down what I'd bought so he could try it himself!0 -

Actually, now you've said that my receipt makes sense. The 3 for 2 section has been grouped into 3s starting with the highest then working down to the cheapest. For each group of 3 the cheapest is taken off
Example:
Bassetts 2.49
Bassetts 2.49
Vit+Iron .00 (saving £2.05)
Vit+Iron 2.05
Vit+Iron 2.05
Vit+Iron .00 (saving £2.05)
Garlic 1.59
Garlic 1.59
Omega3 .00 (saving 99p)
Omega3 .99
Vit C .79
MultiVit .00 (saving 79p)
Wowzers - I never knew Boots discounted in that way. Very decent of them indeed0 -
anybody know if you can return vits SA after half an hours fidlling gave me shots without putting through till and then put vits through
Sorry, but they absolutely won't take vitamins back under any circumstances. I once sent hubby for some, he got the wrong thing, and I called as soon as he got home and explained he had just bought them and they were unopened. They said no way. It's out of fear they may have been tampered with I guess.0
