Peppermint tea and probiotic capsules are the next step followed by a course of aloe vera. Going to have a nice hot shower as its freezing outside and i'm chilly and watch the other half of superscrimpers :)

Also ginger is supposed to be quite good for the "internals"...

I am ginger, does that count? ;)

I will try that though i love peppermint tea but its not warming in this weather as it seems to vaporise in your chest a bit.

Came home to find an Audi in my parking space again. I should state that i do not own a car and neither does my housemate, however the parking space does belong to this house and is numbered to that effect. Today i have a guest staying who has a car and had to park a road away and lug his stuff to my house as the Audi was in my space.

    This is not on.

I have written a polite note asking them to stop doing it. I refrained from justifying myself over the fact we don't own a car between us as its our space. If it was a drive in front of the house they would not be parking in it.

I have no idea if they even live here.

    Am i being mental? :undecided

I don't know - what effect do you have on people's internals? ;)

No. You've paid for that space. It's your space to do with what you wish - even to leave it empty.

BTW: If your house is in desirable commuter-land, you can make money hiring your space out to people.

Not really thats part of what makes it so weird. Miles from town, the train station, restaurants, even 10 minutes from the science park which has oodles of parking anyway.

Wonder if some on in the houses round the corner has bought a second car.

Then they should have tapped on your door and at the very least, asked.

  • It's not nice, feeling unhappy in your job. I like my job & the boss ... just not the new employee - and it's getting to the point where I no longer feel happy there much of the time :(

Re: the new top disaster ... I'd be inclined to return it to whence it came and see if you can get your money back or change it for a different garment. Surely, if it's been washed according to instructions ... and it does that ... then it's not fit for purpose ? Worth a go maybe ..?

At one of our previous places ... we had a few issues with people parking where they shouldnt ... including the space in front of our garage  (which was of course also ours) ... one of the other residents also had this problem ... and having tried many times to politely rectify the situation ... decided that maybe a dose of inconvenience was needed instead.... and arranged for it to be clamped :rotfl::rotfl: They didnt do it again.

Aw that's very rubbish having a nice job and then it being spoilt by forces out of your control. Whats up with the new employee? (hope its not me )

The customer services dept that i emailed also said take the top back to the store so armed with said email on saturday i shall do just that. Just can't decide if i want a replacement and wash it by hand or a refund.

and arranged for it to be clamped :rotfl::rotfl: They didnt do it again.

Clamping is the next stage if they don't go away :naughty:

I did two gym classes back to back today and now i hurt, still i'm too tired to spend any money :rotfl:

My job is tricky, the people are nice, so is the building and the canteen, pension plan etc. It gives me nothing emotionally i don't feel that i ever do a good job, rather that i keep things at the same level of slightly rubbish. Its not really a quality role but it was advertised as such.

My friends are all bored of my complaining they keep telling me its not that bad and its just a job. Problem is i had my dream job the one where i worked late because i was excited about what i was working on and Monday mornings were just a different kind of weekend morning. After that this job just feels like a let down, it kind of like my life is the equivalent of magnolia wall paint.

Its why i like MSE so much the challenges actually get me motivated.:)

  • Basically, they're a salesrep ... and the only thing they think of is their commission. No thought for anyone but themselves ... and constantly doing their own personal stuff & personal calls in work time ... that seriously narks me

Alas, big boss doesnt always see what goes on and whenever he does look into things - the new employee manages to wriggle out of everything and consistantly denies any involvement in stuff that's gone wrong.

I think it's always hard to have something you loved ... and then have to settle for something less ... I'm a coward, because I really want to be doing something I love ... but I cling to the "safety" of regular, known, "guaranteed" income :o

Talking of MSE challenges ... did you see the January total for the £10 a day challenge ... WOW, amazing amount

But if you ever thought what you were making was perfect, then you'd be doing a crap job. Always room for improvement.

Your job isn't your whole life. There are so many other areas in it for you to change. If you have magnolia walls, then you can have a zebra-print ceiling.

It always catches up with them. Patience...

Then you have permission to be smug, and to bring it up when-so-ever you choose...
