    So what are they?

Jedward is *bound* to be one of them...:eek:

We do not speak it's name, pointy haired scary beast that it is.

I have also banned jam from being used in icky ways e.g. toe jam for the skin and sweat build up between toes.

I requested my first voucher of the year today from a survey site :D

Not a lot of money making the last few days but i have not been spending either as have been in the gym. It was a new release (new songs and moves) today so all my instructors looked like they had been mugged by the 80's in neon tights and body paint.

Seriously had the lyric "i got love for you if you were mugged by the 80's, the 80's" going round my head all class :rotfl: Its strange in my mind but it keeps me amused for free.

Should meet the Jan target for money to make £167 or something to hit £2012 in 2012 which would be a nice boost. Although my £1000 tax rebate is gone, it just absorbed into my life. Ok half of it paid my overdraft so much better for saving and the rest filled the hole left by decembers wages being overtaxed. Still i recon i can shave enough off my budget over the year to put at least £500 extra in the savings pot.

    Off to check ebay ;)

Yay :) got my first few mystery shopping payments today so actually starting to see cash in the £2012 bank account.

2p of Roadkill & an £8 mystery shop to add to the totals

Also managed to resist food at the pub and stick to one drink before coming home. Ah well off to start my new hobby:D

    Ah Friday,

I have come to the realisation today that i do not know how to dress myself!

I'm fine with the stuff i'm used to (kind of preppy and a bit goth) but when it comes to new trends or buying pieces that will make multiple outfits i have got no idea. I look at my clothes and to my credit they are all different no impulse buying a dozen black tops but there are very few basics and staples.

I need to mend this so i can make better use of my existing wardrobe.

found 20p roadkill today but that's it for money in. :)

OK, I know what goth is, but what's preppy?

  • Hi Summer ... just stumbled on your thread and thought I'd nip in to say hello (you probably see me flitting around the £10 a day thread :p )

Love the Poem in your first post :D

My fave challenge has got to be the £10 a day one ... but I do get lots of inspiration from many of the diaries I keep up with :)

I too am really bad at wanting to go at things all guns blazing ... then find keeping up with it all ... literally, figuratively and virtually all becomes too much ... especially if I miss periods of time away ... it feels like you're always on catch up

Z's right (thank you Z!) it IS all about balance ... and I'm still trying to find mine ... even on my own diary :rotfl:

And yeah ... though I have a Mr GA .... I'd still say that's why people have DOGS :rotfl: Loyal, forgiving, unconditional affection ... rarely bark back ... and can usually be taught what's expected of them :p

*TUT* ... and trust "Z" to lower the tone down to jockstraps

Hope you have a good week

Well you've got cats on one hand, dogs on the other, and blokes being the compromise between the two.. ;)

I thought I'd lowered it with "Jedward"...:eek::eek::eek:

Preppy is v neck jumpers, shirts, little flippy skirts and lots of pastel colours, floral print. Its relatively classic :) check out the Joules and Jack wills websites if you want a better idea.

Hey GreyhoundAngel :) nice to see you in here, i had spotted you on the make £10 a day thread. I tend to lurk in there rather than post but i do glean so much useful information.

Had a couple of days off the threads as i went down with a nasty bug and spent most of the weekend sleeping, was well enough to go back to work today though :(

Did manage a little ebay goodness on Sunday and have £26.99 of confirmed sales :) so a little silver lining for me.

Got a couple of mystery shops in the next few days so will be adding a dash more cash to the totals. Actually i better get my Jan totals worked out as its the last day tomorrow  where did it go?

Off to lurk on some other threads now :p see you all soon

  • Boo!

I thought getting better to go back to work and having a pants day was the end of the Monday rubbishness but no, having washed my new top that i bought with my xmas money for the first time (according to the instructions) it has bled red from the trimming onto itself. I t looks like someone tried it on whilst wearing bright pink foundation all the collar and shoulders are stained :(

Will try rewashing it asap and hope the colour has not fixed into the rest of the shirt. Very disappointed though, its 100% cotton and a good make so i thought it was worth the money.

  • No joy with the top, nor with getting the red out of the other clothing items it stained. I have posted a review on the debenhams website voicing my dissapointment and have written in to their complaints department as well.

I really liked that top but i just cannot wear it if is pink round the top, being a readhead pink is not my colour.

  • Humpday down,

Just 2 more days until freedom yay yay yay.

No money making really today, sold 2 BIN items on eb@y but not adding it to the totals until payment is received and in the bank. Also declined a meal out to come home and rest my stressy job is ruining my digestive system. I can't eat anything at the moment without feeling knotted up inside. Peppermint tea and probiotic capsules are the next step followed by a course of aloe vera. Going to have a nice hot shower as its freezing outside and i'm chilly and watch the other half of superscrimpers :)
