Well a mad couple of days i have been to sussex and back to take my Nan to see Spamalot :)

Not my most frugal couple of days but she's worth it;)

Back now and have gat a few more mystery shops under my belt and some surveys, actually getting on for payout in quite a few things so will keep lugging away at it then hopefully i will have a nice stash of vouchers etc November.

Treated myself to a curry tonight  though i felt a bit bad spending the cash as i've been a bit spendy the last two days still it will do me 2 meals so works out about 3.50 a meal. Probably not that bad by the time i'd have brought the meat and nann.

I need to find something more consistent to do for extra cash shall put the thinking cap on whilst i sleep...........:D

Ah Sunday the day of [STRIKE]rest[/STRIKE] madly running around completing chores.

Its been a productive morning so far

Cleared out and reorganised all my kitchen cupboards (to prevent overbuying)
Researched all my bank accounts and their interest rates (love your ISA calculator martin :D)
    Got some washing on
    Sorted out the recycling

Still got more busy to get on but we have progress. Need to plan out next week possibly add another £245 to my savings totals to offset my new glasses.

Oh but i dropped my phone contract from £25.50 to £20.50 so that should help. Need to be more careful with my mobile now as i have less minutes to use.

Still hoping i can make it up with calling from the landline on the free evening and weekend calls.

  • Well i managed to reduce my gym contract from £46.68 a month to £37.50 a month so that will add up a bit over the year :)

Its been a quiet day for cash making, i gained 15p in roadkill but that is about it. Was rather disappointed as i filled in almost 100% of a £3 Valu** Opinio** survey only to encounter a technical difficulty with their site, when i came back to try to complete later i was told the survey was full. Hopefully this problem will not persist, i've contacted them to see if i can find out what caused the error.

Having a few issues with other people having more cash than me at the moment, early Jan was ok as everyone was recovering from the excesses of Xmas but now they keep trying to get me to go out for meals and such. I will have to convert them all to the ways of MSE

Well need to sleep snoozes zzzzz

I'm supposed to be sleeping but instead i'm fretting about not being far enough along in my challenges etc. Silly i know since it is only the 17th of January and i have plenty of time.

I think that my biggest issue really i want to see impact too quickly although i do stick at things so presumably it will come in the end.

What have i done this year so far?

    Reduced my phone contract
    reduced my gym fees
    made £80 mystery shopping
Not bought any lunches at work

Not a bad start really now just need to lose 13 lbs so might have to invest/find a pair of scales

    must sleep!
