Basically, they're a salesrep ... and the only thing they think of is their commission. No thought for anyone but themselves ... and constantly doing their own personal stuff & personal calls in work time ... that seriously narks me

Ah yes i have met these people, i have one at work but i don't work with him so no problems there.

5p in roadkill from yesterday :) its amazing how exciting it is finding money on the street.

Off to a meeting about stocks and shares ISA's this morning hence why i am going out in the cold. Then to return the ladybird top and then off to the supermarket to get nice foods nom.

Wanna sleep more though, may treat myself to little nap later after the ironing.:)

  • Ok it was arctic this morning, bits of the river were frozen.

I made it to my financial review and he kept me in there for 2 hours:eek: and talked to me about scary stuff like critical illness cover:eek: Kind of thinking i should take some out now as it will be far cheaper than later on

I was supposed to be joining some friends in town tonight but i'm glad i pulled out although i'm kind of disappointed with myself for not making more effort. Its so cold though and i'm still not content with my digestive system. Its now 3" deep in snow out there and very cold so i feel better about the decision.

I'm rambling, basically i want to be more environmentally friendly + get done what i need to do. Today however i got comfy in the only room in the house i heated and did not cleaning + went to Mr T not Mr S as it is much closer to home but got frustrated at the poor choice of healthy foods (e.g. rye bread, could not find any). Also note to Mr T staff you are supposed to say excuse me before you hit someone with the stocking trolley then they move.

Everyone here is pushing their bikes i'm going to be transport free on Monday if this keeps up. I think i will cancel my gym class tomorrow as i'm kind of freaked out about the snow. I may have to take the bus next week but it makes hitting the gym really difficult as the buses are so unreliable i can get stuck on the wrong side of town and its about an hour and a half walk back.

Going to sleep and think about it in the am

Good luck in the snow to all

Why would you take it out at all? Who do you need to support if you can't work?

You don't want that kicking off in a traffic jam...

Surely by about monday, someone in the Council will have decided that it may be possibly time to sweep the roads?

Me, if i was off work longer than i get sick pay.

I want to shop at stores with better ethical policy and not spend extra money on buses etc.

Just annoyed with myself for being lazy really.

Gym class was cancelled as the instructor could not get to the Gym anyway. I'm jumpy about snow as it builds up in the edges of the road and i couldn't see a pot hole last year and was thrown off my bike.

Some one has made a huge Easter Island head out of snow its very cool :)

If once you run out of work sick pay, then you will go onto SSP. After a time on SSP (assuming you're still not fit to work, but why else would you will be off?) you will go onto the various forms of incapacity depending upon the nature of your illness.

You would need to sit down and do the calculations to see if it would be worth doing it. It would be worth you doing it as far as the salesguy you spoke to is concerned, as he will earn a direct commision. That's why he says you'll end up living in a cardboard box in Croydon if you're not paying.

Beware of policies. They often aren't even kissing cousins with practice.

Was that an intentional pun? ;)

  • Hey GreyhoundAngel i also like snow, not so much when i have to go to work in it though:p

I know i'm doing stuff really but i can find it quite hard to stay on top of everything.

ZTD i had a mini meltdown because i fell asleep in the armchair for 4 hours on Saturday afternoon instead of getting anything done and then felt too dopey to get my head round stuff.

I made up for missing my gym class by cleaning the whole house today and got nice and warm doing it :)

The feet are amazing and no its was not an intentional pun which is rather poor form on my part lol.

Just had my ebay items finish so should have a little look at them. Its about £60 less paypal and ebay fees.

See Zee .... I just KNEW there was a reason I [STRIKE]stalked[/STRIKE] enjoyed your posts :D That has made me chuckle.

Zee's right though Summer ... check into the "science bit" & work out the numbers to see if it really is worth it. For me in your place, I probably wouldnt just for a "sick pay" type thing ....

Critical Illness cover on the other hand ... for me would be worth looking into. A decent policy would make things much more comfortable in those cases. I know first hand (albiet as a couple) the impact that can have on your life and finances. :A

Critical illness is often worth looking at, just not often worth doing.

If you have no dependents, then it's often not worth bothering with. Also the numbers of refused payments is very high - about half the last time I looked.

Hey Monday guess what? i kicked your butt!

Not only did i get to work through the snow with my bicycle i also got home with it :D (admittedly i pushed it part of the way since no one has invented the bike plough).

Sold a bunch of things on ebay on Sunday, comes to about £45 sadly only eight of it is mine as i sold some things for my Aunt. Also forgot to change my drop down menu to second class so have under set postage on 1 item. Still my listing said it would go out 1st class so first class it goes.

Not much other money making really still getting into the swing of things this month after a storming January. Mind you the 1st week of January was slow too.

Turns out i get critical illness with my work pension scheme, so will be opting in to that tomorrow.

What does ZTD stand for anyway?

    Zebra Tartan Dungarees?
    Zealous Tiny Duster?;)

My name is actually the type of tea i was drinking at the time i signed up lol
