I signed up for their 2 year ISA to get a 3.5% rate as you had to do it by the 31st Jan and transferred my ISA in from another provider. Then they have a February bonus where they give you 3.9% if you swap from another provider. Reckon i will have lost £45 across the 2 years. :(

I did call them to see if i could do anything about it and they seemed to think not but i may email, i got the idea from the financial review i had that the rates would end at the end of Jan.

    to be continued...

  • I am a tired little bunny today, i was in London seeing We Will Rock You (present from my parents). Managed to do it quite cheaply but i did treat myself to a taxi home from the station as its -7 out there and i'm already shattered.

Can't afford to be sick from shivering at bus stops for an hour.

No cash made today but got a gift of £200 from my mum, i shall put this into the account to go to my new ISA in April but i'm not counting it towards any of my challenge totals.

Now if i can just get rid of the Natpest S&S ISA guy as i think his ISA is not the best and the personal training guy that i could not get rid of at the gym last night (i like the idea of personal training but its too expensive for me).

  • I think it might storm, i feel all odd usually an indicator of atmospheric pressure.

Having a funny reaction and feeling a bit hyper and "flat" at the same time. Been thinking about a friend of mine who recently lost his father and saving for the future (poor interes rate) etc. Oddly enough i don't feel down but i do feel a little unsettled like when you have the nagging feeling you should be doing something but you don't know what it is.

I will go to the gym and see if it helps get my head back on track.

Also my dad is coming up to stay next weekend and i'm always stressed when he is here. He drinks a lot and i worry about him the whole time. He needs to take care of himself as he has high blood pressure and a demanding job but he just does not seem to realise that its not good for him.

Pfttt gym, gym first then everything else endorphins would be good right now.

    :)

  • The gym was indeed very helpful and i now feel far more together and chilled. I think its working as well definitely look slimmer around the hips and tummy. If i could just get my head around buying a pair of scales it would be easier to tell.

Must get back on the cash making horse, still got MS to complete as could not get through to the right peeps today.

Just a thought - don't they have scales somewhere in the gym you could use rather than buying some?

Indeed they do but they cost 50p a time to use and i don't like to weigh myself in the changing rooms as people keep staring at the scale.

Its not that i object to them knowing my weight but i don't like to feel like a sideshow attraction.

I think in the long run it would be cheaper to get my own scales, plus they are very useful for weighing suitcases :)

  • I bought scales :) and i like them/they work as in i weigh the same in the kitchen and bathroom.

I decided not to go with the stocks and shares ISA for the time being, want to have a more substantial block of money in short term access before i start to think about committing so much to a 5 - 10 year plan.

Its really bad as i feel that i'm coming to preparing for the future so late in life thanks to all those years stuck temping.

I know there are more suitable stocks and shares ISA's out there with lower fees and charges so why do i feel disappointed that i did not take out the natpest one? Its illogical!
