Many thanks i suppose i was trying again to get a response before taking them to court,i am a bit apprehensive in case it all goes wrong.

It is understandable being apprehensive, but the best thing you can do is read up and learn about each step, read about the small claims court, use the threads in here, read other peoples experience etc when you start understanding the process its not so frightening.
Good luck0 -

Can someone please advise
I am trying to reclaim £7546 bank charges off HFC.I had no response to first letter threatening court so i sent again. They have responded saying "[I would like to offer you a goodwill payment of £752 ".In the meantime i have filled in a complaint form to submit to financial ombudsman. Please could you advise which way i should now progress.Do i write and refuse payment or leave to Fianancial Ombudsman?
Many Thanks

You need to follow the reclaiming steps on this site. Dont get into comlaining as the ombudsman cant force the bank to anything, only a judge can should they not settle. Follow the steps and good luck.Stick to YOUR timescale. Dont take ANY bull. DONT be intimidated. The law is on OUR side.
Feel free to thank me if I was a help

I have sent letter to HFC bank threatening to take them to court to reclaim £7500 in bank charges. They have responded offering me a goodwill gesture of £750 which i have firmly rejected. They have now chosen to ignore the letter i sent which refused their offer.Has anyone had a similar sort of response?
Thanks

I have received a letter from HFC bank offering goodwill gesture of £752.(They owe me £7000 in bank charges) I firmly rejected this offer and they have written back offering £1504 saying the manager had made this exceptional goodwill gestureThey said this constitutes a final offer and no further correspondence will be entered into
Advice please on what to do next?
Many thanks
