I have spent the whole morning sorting through ex's paperwork with him. The silly man is paying out on 5 different insurance policy's that he doesnt know what they are, he was paying for a landline that he doesnt use, and a mobile contract he didnt know about just to name a few things!.
I have dealt with a lot of it, but there are still things to do.
We have reduced the number of boxes full of paper, and I hope that I have got him well under way.
Electric and Water companies contacted. The defunct phone, but not the mobile cannot find any paperwork for the mobile at all! Just the bill on the Bank statement.
Told him to cancel the d.d.'s that he doesnt use etc.
    Contacted the TV licensing.
Not sure what else, but it took me from 9.35 to 1.10pm.
I popped into Aldi on the way home, bought the basics that I was running out of. Spent just less the £27 so not too bad.
DS is due any minute. Pity the weather is so bad. Pouring rain will not be so good for moving matteresses etc!.
I am exhausted. I am still not feeling very well, and I am not sure what is really wrong with me. Maybe its just exhaustion. I spend all my life trying to sort things out!. Hopefully some of this will ease soon.
At least both twins are being contacted by the SS and may actually get some help from there onwards. Fingerscrossed that that will take a lot of the strain off of me.
Still a little preoccupied with the finances of course.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Had a rough night, again. I cancelled my councilling, my solicitors and went to see the doctor. Looks like it is my medication that has been making me ill. So I have tried to slow down a bit. New medication to line my stomach. Got to try to reduce my diclofenic, and go back in 10 days.
I did have to go out, as I had to take Twin1 back, and collect DS. I did call in to the council offices to give my changes of situation, wish I hadnt they kept me waiting 40 minutes before they saw me. For less then 5 minutes, to hand over a letter, get a copy of the Guardianship order done, and give me the receipt.
Anyway, DS is now sorting out his bags of things, and I have been curled up in a ball trying to sleep. Managed an hour anyway.
DS has started his help, by going out and collecting DGD for me. So I can rest while I am feeling so rough.
Lets hope the new meds start to work soon, so that I can get on with improving, as I had been doing so well of late.

    Morning,
I had a rest in the afternoon, but didnt sleep. DS kept DGD away from me, so I wasnt bounced on!.
I did mince and potatoes for tea, something simple so that it didnt aggravate my tummy.
Had a very intense night of ddreams, some nightmares, mostly nightmares, with family, very old friends, strangers and some natural disasters to contend with. All interspersed with having to get up every hour and a half or so to go to the loo!. Then back to sleep quickly and into what seems like anyway, another intense dream.
I dont feel very rested at all.
I am a bit confused at the information on the times I have to take my medication today. So I will need to pop across to the chemist and double check.
I am sure that the doctor said that I had to take my omeprazole, then leave it 4 hours before I took the new antipepsin?, which then has to be taken 4 times a day, an hour before food. Then all my other tablets need to be taken with food, or after food.
I cannot wait 5 hours before I have any breakfast, and still fit in lunch, dinner and bedtime tablets?
    Something must be wrong there.
As I am hungry, and not eaten properly in 5 days, I have skipped the omeprazole this morning, and taken the antepepsin, and will take my other tablets in an hour. My body is screaming out for them though, so thats not good.
Then I will have to remember the hour before a meal, so better plan my meals.
This will give me a chance to contact the chemist and ask about the omeprazole. Which I know the doctor said I had to continue to take? Or I am going to have to set an alarm to get me up 4 hours before I have to get up, just to take a tablet. As if my sleep isnt interuped enough of late.
I hope that the bad dreams are not a side effect of my meds, as I get enough of them without.
I do feel a bit dizzy/disentoriated this morning. Hope that that is just cos I am hungry. Dont want that to be one of the side effects. (it is a listed one though). As I have enough meds that send me dizzy and it will mean I cannot drive DGD to nursery. etc.
The weather is foul again here, and I really dont want to walk in that.
Such is life. I suppose it will all pan out in the end.
Have been asked about how I do some of the things, I do, and how to proceed with SGO etc. So I suppose my thread must be helping or encouraging others. Fingers crossed that I can help point in the right direction. Wish I was an expert but alas I am not.
Time to try and get DGD to eat her breakfast and get her ready for school.
I have a committee member or two coming over this morning about the Bunting for the street party. I really dont feel like teaching a masterclass today. ! But I dont really have any other time.

Mooloo seeing the chemist is a very good idea. They know far more about drugs than doctors do and they train two years longer.

I'm jumping in here an unashamedly hijacking mooloo's thread beacause I don't know where wlse to post.
My closest friend of nearly 30 years after a battle with breast cancer has now lost the fight and has a prognosis of a few weeks, maybe 2 months. She wants a blessing for her and partner which I fully support but her wish is for a red wedding dress - not too fussy but still sexy enough to not reveal her mastecomy and to be comfortable enough so shecan enjoy the few hours - we have around 3 weeks to sort all this - ideas where we can get this from?
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

TBH, I'd post this on the Health and Beauty board, they are ace at this kind of thing. And I'll say for starters that this is the kind of occasion where a Personal Shopper would be really really useful - I know Debenhams do this, and maybe a prom dress would fit the bill?

If you were more this side of Bristle, I know of a couple of shops in Westbury on Trym which re-sell designer dresses, a phone call to that kind of shop might be worthwhile too. I wouldn't turn up on spec, but if they had anything in red in her size it might be worth taking a look, or asking if they would email a photo of anything which sounds suitable.

And I'm sorry to hear the news, you're a fab friend!

Briefly read some of this, but I was going to ask Gizmo, what size is your friend, and what kind of style did she want.?
I do have a deeper/burgandy red prom style dress with a bolero jacket, that one of the twins wore at christmas, was given to me by Molly's daughter, originally for sewing with, it may be of use? I think though that it is a size 16-18 so may be too big.
It could of course be altered if necessary.
I will also have a good look around when I am out on my travels.
I bought myself a silk suit, in a purple/blue, with dress and long jacket, ready for my daughters wedding, for the princely sum of £5 last week. You never know.

You could also possibly Dye a white/cream dress red if you find a style that you like.
I wish I was a bit closer then I could do any alterations/fitting needed, but am a bit far away, and going on holiday in 10 days time.! Time being of the essence.

I wish you and your friend all the love in the world, and you will both be in my thoughts and prayers. Its such a sad and humbling time.

    Re me.
I couldnt teach a thing, I went down hill rapidly. I rang the doctors, and he rang me back. I had to stop the new tablets immediately. The vice like headache, and dizziness were symptoms that were rare but known so back to the drawing board.
I was so ill, from just 3 tablets. I was out of it all of yesterday.
Thank god that DS was here, he collected DGD from Nursery, gave her lunch and looked after her until Molly's daughter came. She took over, kept DGD amused, and fed and bathed her for me, before taking her up to bed.
DGD did get up a few times before she finally went to bed, but she was very good playing in her room quietly. I am very proud of her.
I started to feel a bit better by about 2 am!
This morning I am tired, but the headaches have gone, thank goodness. The dizziness is also just about gone. The tummy is a bit delicate,as obviously I havent the medication to stop it, so we have reduced my diclofenic, by half. Which I am trying to adjust too. The arm is very stiff and sore. But that could just be becuase I spent the rest of yesterday in bed.

This morning I didnt have to look after DGD2, as her mum made other arrangements when I told her i was ill.
The patio set she ordered arrived, at 7.45, so that was a blessing in disguise there.
I have only managed to have a shower, dress myself, and wash up.
DGD and I have been watching a DVD together after we had breakfast. Taking it easy.
DS has just surfaced and the sounds of the base music are drifting down. Something strange to get used to. Others in the house.

p.s. Welcome Heppi, how rude of me!
Sorry, my mind is starting to go at ten to the dozen after a day of being inactive.

    .

Size is a problem - she hasalways been a 12, but now she has swollen liver so I've been buying 16-18 PJ's, which are huge on top but are comfy on bottom. She has size 16 joggers as well.
I'd love to see the dress - we are not sure about the style something elegant sexy and cheap! She used to have waist long straight black hair it went through chemptherapy but now it has grown back short and curly - she hates it!

I'd love to see what you already have. And yes I wish you lived nearer as well - not just for this x
