Saving for a new Horse!

HI BB
Sorry about your stress - I expect that is when you miss the horses most - for me they are a great stress relief and an escape from busy life - even though they can be part of the stress sometimes lol.
My mum is 70 drives very little and only really to my brother on a weekend - she gets bus everywhere else. Good on your dad for still being so mobile at 78. My OH dad is 77 and still driving - he owns the family business and still gets involved in that - good to be active.0 -
Oh BB, its not good to be stressed. I worry about my dad driving too he's in his eighties and won't be told, so I'm not going to!
I hope you have a more chilled evening and get time to relax.

Thanks for your kind comments, parents grr! Know its been a long time coming but if we tell him not too it will just make it worse, as has been in past, but think he is slowly getting there
Spends yesterday of £17, including meat for last nights stir fry, leftovers for lunch today. Pasta meal for Friday, some reduced veg, magazine, 1 bag of galaxy counters and 1 bags of minstrelsMagazine and chocolate were not needed, only salvation was using the £20 I had budgeted to spend last weekend.
Opened at the weekend a new saver account with NR with an interest rate of 2.8%, not a lot, but interest paid monthly and transferring the building fund money of just under £9k over as is currently in an account paying 0.1% so should start seeing this getting a little bit better
Nothing planned to spend today, pretty average day at work so must get on!Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
Mortgage 13-1-25 - £63K

Payday and Friday :j
Signature duly updated, looks worse as now have 4 CC's but CC4 is interest free so will help bring total down a lot quicker. Interest has been applied to the other accounts. Lots has been spent this month on the cards mainly for the car, which is very frustrating as didnt have enough savings to pay for this, my own fault from previous bad budgetting, but have been overpaying. But considering all this excluding the mortgage there has been a drop of £991.18 in the debt figure from 27 Jan to today :j Just need to keep going and hope no more unforseen expenses.
Free listing again this weekend on ebay so lots more to go on, got few watchers on items already there so hoping they sell, one is up for over £100 so that will really help.
Nothing planned this weekend, finishing parents fence so then mum will give us the £300 to pay of OH lens.
Off to see a friends pony this evening, as she is away and person looking after is concerned that he is a bit thin. Havent had any pony contact since clearing out Baldys stuff at the beginning of January so will be nice to go see them. Especially as he is a wee shetland so always loves companyDebt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

Thanks for the lovely comments on the pictures, I have thousands of them!! The shettie was ok, just that time of year when winter grass running out and just a wee bit too early for the spring grass coming through. Lovely to see all of the horses again, really miss them, and makes me even more determined to get rid of this darn debt and get another one
Lucielle, sorry you had to see your Section D, your section C will probably be playing with mine on the rainbow bridge, actually knowing Baldrick, he will be trying to eat it
A fairly good weekend, spent most of it doing more fencing for mum, 3/4 finished now and looks really good, just a few more bits to finish this weekend. She has paid us already for it. The buyer came to pick up big ebay item and money now in bank so of to pay of OHs lens today, so another debt hits the dust. Not on the signature as an extra but he is allowed no more until we clear the cards. OH is still being good about things to sell so will get there.
No spend weekend, sunday listed another 9 items on ebay, sooo boring, few watchers on already so keeping things crossed. The other large item we had on ebay still hasnt sold but lowered price and relisted so keeping things crossed
OH probably working away all week so saving me some pennies and food stores.
Had budgeted £37 in joint account for water bill but looking at bill looks like direct debit not needed this month as paid up to date and new year starts from march so will transfer this over to cards today.Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!
