    Afternoon :)

OH's share money arrive, slightly more than expected :D So enough left in OH's account to cover his bills for this month, £500 to joint account, so now enough for this month and £300 for next month. £600 for joint account now to find next month but hopefully OH will have some more work or some JSA contributions. Also managed to put £200 to OHs credit card, so now £500 left on there.

As had enough money in joint account could spend up to budget amount on groceries, so shopping last night, budget £150, total spent £149.08 :D Done freezer/fridge inventory and have enough food for 42 main meals so pleased with this.

Spent £20 on chinese last night but enough for leftovers today.

Lazy day yesterday but today have done hoss, weeded front and back gardens so looks fab now, cooked chicken and about to make a pear pie for dinner to use some squidgy pears.

Had a go at growing things this year as got some free seeds and plants from my uncle and have successfully managed with help from mum tomatoes, runner beans and strawberries. Got some carrots to so will harvest those in month or so. The beans and tomatoes are still doing really well so plan to do this and a few more veg next year. :D

Morning world, so nice for a short week, especially as off tomorrow too, so only 3 days :D

Horse trainer tomorrow so not a NSD but have money for this in hoss funds. Farrier on friday but taking money out for this with the hoss money so will be hopefully a NSD.

Loan out today so another £148 of the total :)

Had a spendy day yesterday, £20 odd on hamster food, but will last ages (prob for this one and the next one :rotfl:) and approx £40 on diy bits but now have a functioning dishwasher complete with proper cupboard etc so looks good. Really want to do the kitchen extension but that will probably be on hold for a few years maybe so at least got a proper working kitchen in the meantime. Unfortunately had to put the £60 on credit card :o So need to raise the money to pay this off asap so doesnt incur interest. Am awaiting £20 from survey sites so thats a start.

Didnt list anything new on ebay over the weekend, but re-listed some old items, one has bid for 99p and a couple have watchers so keeping everything crossed :)

Good morning world, TFI Friday :D

Hoss was good for trainer, learnt lots of new things and lots of things to practice. Farrier today and she was ok but seems tetchy on one leg so need to work out whether she is being naughty or something wrong.

OH is working again, and this job seems indefinite, not the best pay but isnt too bad and keeps the bills paid with hopefully a wee bit left over for debt repayment.

Got £134 on my credit card with the spending at the weekend so target to clear this asap before I get charged interest. £1.18 from quidco landed today so thats a start, awaiting survey money to throw at this too.

Been told we will get a small inheritance from OH's grandad, not sure of exact figures but should be able to get rid of either the loan if enough for a repayment with interest taking into account or clear the 0% credit card and the rest with overpayments on the loan. The loan would be better to pay as 6% interest. The sofa's are 0% so doesnt make sense to clear. Our highest interest is the car finance but we have deal of 2 years free servicing that we would not get if we paid this off so pay the others of first and then once got a savings plan in place then can organise to get this paid off. Whatever we pay of will really help and the money can be snowballed into paying other debts of quicker.

My job is pretty carp at the moment, just stupid things going wrong out of my control and some colleagues taking things too personally so need to make a real effort to get things paid of as soon as I can this year before my pay probably drops next year or worst that am made redundant. So come back on 31 December and see how far I have come.

    Good morning world :D

Great weekend, went up to watch the paralympics, so saw dressage in the afternoon and then to the stadium in the evening. Lots of fun and great atmosphere, very tired though yesterday! Spent slightly over budget by about £10 I think as had lunch out and train fares. Going again tomorrow this time just to dressage so more train fares to be spent so overbudget again but managed to sell 2 things on ebay over the weekend, nett profit of about £25 so that will cover the overflow so will be nett at the end of the month. :D

Good morning, busy few days so few things to update.

Paralympics was really great, beautiful sunshine sitting out in Greenwich Park and we got medals too :D OH went to watch Archery and there were medals there as well so a fab day out. Spent slightly over budget for food and train so currently £25 short on current a/c but should have enough bunce in there to cover that.

Need to get hoss food over the weekend, unfortunately only have £50 to cover this and as we get in bulk to get a discount unfortunately will have to put this on the credit card :o Had to buy some new girly underwear as well so cc will be up to nearly £300 by the end of the month :( Have £17 in payapl and need to get a few more items on ebay over the weekend as sure could clear the card with all the stuff I have ready to go on. Amazing what I keep finding in unopened boxes

Sofa payment out yesterday so another £30 of debt, loan payment has also gone out this month. :)

OH is working full time on a temp basis but doing 5 days a week so that is great. Making sure joint account has enough so dont need to touch savings and trying to eke it out a bit to get some more overpayments.

  • Sounds like you're doing well :) It's the expensive time of year for hoss people isn't it? I've got to fork out for my first 50 bales of hay at the end of the month.

I get horsehage as am allergic to the dust in the hay, great having a horse hey :rotfl: So can get whenever. We get them by palletload so 25 bags gets a 5% discount, when £5.75 a bag it all helps :)

Really angry this morning, thank goodness its friday. Stupid colleagues in office having a go at me, some of what he said is true but when I bite back he blatantly lied to my face  Seriously no need for it and just totally changed the way I think about him and this company, definitely getting too big for his boots and waits till on own with him in office before he says something when he could have done this chat anytime but he has his tactics and I think they are very underhand, he is very rude and really do not want to work here anymore. So I will start job hunting properly as not putting up with this anymore :(

So on debt news a renewed enthusiasm to get rid of this debt as soon as possible to be able to have a lot more choices in life. So today I have emptied by fun savings account as earning pitiful interest and paid the amount of £130 to my credit card, so now £60 outstanding on this, will be added to slightly over this weekend with the horse feed but at least not as much to find. Leaving the money in my horse fund and insurance savings account as this are saved for a specific purpose. Have money saved in ISA and other savings but this was for house fund but not trying to use these incase of financial emergencies and eventually hope to use for new kitchen.

  • I had some horsehage for Merlin last year - he absolutely loves it, but because of the extra transport costs in getting it to the north coast of Scotland, it works out at £7.50 a bag for us, even after bulk discount!! In comparison, a small bale of hay is £3, so I'm afraid he's going to have to put up with it this year. (I might get him a bale for Christmas if he's good :D)

Office politics can be horrible :( Good luck with the job hunting.

Office bully does not sound nice. I had words with my boss from h3ll today as last week he disagreed with me about a case and so I changed my decision to suit his views. Today, he's changed his mind and low and behold thinks my original view point is right, which miraculously has now become his view point. I called him up on it though, to which he said, in his irritating jokey manner, "I'm allowed to change my mind, I'm the boss". ARGH!?!? F!kk!ng Pr^t - excuse the French.
