The bathroom again could do with updating but it's perfectly adequate for now - we'll have to save up and do things in stages, but I presume that's normal for a house?
I keep looking through magazines and online at furniture and DH keeps telling me off as we've not even got the signed paperwork yet!we can take most of our current furniture, just not sure some of it goes, IYSWIM? We got given random bits and pieces when we first moved in together, and most of it isn't to my taste really, so I'd like to start replacing some pieces with ones me and DH chose together
all in good time though!
Love the idea of choosing things together. But I am sure what you have now is suffient to get you going. No good moving in and then spending a lot of money on new furniture, I love the shabby chic idea though :T
Yes I believe that most work is done in steps SF not just for the money involved but image having no kitchena nd bathroom for weeks, togetherTake your time, I am guessing this will be a long term home?

I have found the most amazing holiday destination that I really want DH to take me next year
Look at this! :
http://www.kakslauttanen.fi/en/accommodation/
You can sleep underneath the Northern Lights! DH said he would love to go there, so I just need to persuade himyou can also go on a husky safari, a reindeer sledge or a snowmobile drive! been doing some sums already, and I reckon we could afford it

Looks amazing but where do you get the prices?0 -
Think you can find it on booking.com? DH found the price list, not me
Made a lovely coq au vin for lunch with mash and carrots, so very full nowfirst time I'd made it but it went down very well! And it was very straight forward, so definitely going to make that again
Today has been another NSD for me which is also goodnot doing much for the rest of the day, just relaxing and then having an early night I think

Anyway, just to say that I moved in over 5 years ago with a list of things I'd like to do (as well as the needs) and ....... it's longer than ever!;)
I must admit tho' the first weekend was spent painting the 2 small bedrooms ..... I just couldn't live with Barbie pink (and accessories to match):rotfl:

Well, we might not be going! DH said that it's far too silly to go on a holiday when we're in the process of buying a house. Sigh. I love love love going on holidays. I shall just have to work on him about it...
Got home tonight after training at work to find out that the chicken I was going to use for tea had gone off! it smelt really bad (which explains the smell in the fridge I'd noticed yesterday...) and had gone a funny colour. So, instead of chicken with pesto sauce and rice, we had bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes in a pesto sauce with spaghetti! So, all not lost and DH practically licked his plate clean, so it went down well
so my NSD has stayed in tact for today!
It's raining againso a nice evening in snuggled under my fleece blanket on the sofa
I love evenings like that
