blackberry bridge is the feature your referring to where you can sync it to your blackberry
but you can thether it to any phone not just blackberry and there is an android beta about to download for it0 -
I got the playbook for xmas (using it now :j) and love it. Mind i am a BB avid fan anyway.
Bridging it with my Blackberry was so easy and I love I have internet wherever I go and am not limited to free wifi places.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
i have a blackberry phone and love it. i thought the blackberry tablet would be very like this. i cant get to grips with an iphone and my daughter wont let me near her ipad. I thought the 169.99 price for the tablet was a bargain. i will just be surfing the net on it, nothing really complicated. do you think this tablet is worth buying or do you think the price will come down?
I'd say definitely worth it! Especially if you have a BB phone. There is talk of the price going back up, so I don't think it will drop any further.0 -
Does free of charge virus protection work on the Blackberry Playbook like Avast? Thanks.0
-
You can use it without a BlackBerry, but not all the functionality will be present.RaiderHammer wrote: »Does free of charge virus protection work on the Blackberry Playbook like Avast? Thanks.
Although it has no native email or calendar app, you can still use the web interfaces of things like Gmail / Google Calendar - the device can do email, just through the browser rather than an app.
EDIT - You can also load Android apps using the OS2 beta (although not all of them).
I don't think you'll have any luck returning the item - it sounds like buyers remorse, through lack of research.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -

Some also admit it is cheap, but a poor substitute for more accomplished offerings. Almost as if they are being asked to sell Betamax recorders.
Most staff will of used iOS and Android before, whereas very few will have used QNX for any more than 5 minutes...Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
Flyboy, instead of constantly spouting of opinion, back it up with hard facts because we would all like to learn something new...
I'm not living in hope though...The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

So, what's your interpretation of reasonable care and skill? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
I am going to guess you have never heard of the principle of carrying out ones work with reasonable care and skill then? Or are you just here to throw insults and attack other posters then?
If you feel my factual statement is an attack, perhaps its time to come out of that rock you've been living under. Or better yet, why not start quoting legislation as the rest of us do so that posters know you're not just speaking rubbish?
All the regular posters of this board know you have yet to provide any legislation to back up any "advice" you have given. And until you are able to back your posts up with actual legislation, I'm afraid we'll keep disregarding your posts as opinion instead of fact. Especially since you seem to disregard everyone else's posts in the same manner even if legislation is provided proving you wrong.
The reason we keep drawing attention to you not backing up your "theory" is because although we know how ridiculous your posts can be, new users may not.
As for insulting and attacking other posters......yes because you'd never do such a thing.....would you flyboy? Especially not a brand spanking new poster......would you? Hmmm me thinks flyboy needs to consider that his own actions may be worse than the person he accused of "insulting" and "attacking" and that perhaps he should seek to make himself nicer before criticising others. What is it they say in psychology, oh yes........we often accuse others of that which we are personally guilty of.Why do people drag up a year old thread and not actually start a new one for themselves? It is really a pain in the backside when one has to read through an older thread until they get to the new post.Oops! Sorry, forgot who I was responding to. I suppose the next step for you would be transportation to the colonies for people jaywalking. And you made such a silly mistake. Well I call BS on your insistence that either you really had a vegetarian over for dinner once, or that your mother is a vegetarian. One or the other is a lie.You are just trolling, with the feeble attempt to cause an argument and that you have the moral intelligence of a stagnent pond. Then you are a very sad individualYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
