  • Thanks Valli - I work full time and although hubby will help when asked, his time line isn't mine!:p (He works too)

We also both do army cadets which can take up alot of time. Being a Virgo I'm a perfectionist freak.........................and it's all or nothing with me.:o

One of my aims this year was to walk the dogs religiously every morning for 30 mins. the weather this morning soon put paid to that!

I will try and be satisfied with levels 1 this week................gonna be hard though!

    Thanks again,

1 step closer (off to dose myself up then bed!)

  • Goodintentions glad DH is home - what does he do?

He works for one of the high street banks, in the credit card side of things - something to do with configuration of systems, or something :o They need to run things overnight, and check them back, when other sytems aren't being used - so Bank holidays are their busiest times. It is supposed to be temporary, but he has been doing it since October :( On the plus side - we are going to Florida in August :j

I have been online to check my marks for my 1st assignment that I submitted in December, and I got 74%:T That's a distinction :D I just need to keep it up now :)

Ok. Watching the Biggest Loser, and considering joining Weight Watchers again :o (need to lose about 3 stone, I think)

and the added benefit of levels 1s is that, even if you don't get any further, the basics are getting done.

I have the book Superwoman - and she (Shirley Conran) has some REALLY interesting things to say - (I think it's the true beginning of Flylady, honestly!) and one thing is that basic TIDYING of a room (not actual cleaning) has an impact! Keep it as tidy as possible, don't allow clutter to breed and it will be so much easier.

    Hello all,

I think I know where I went wrong last time with flyladies - I tried doing everything all in one go. and couldnt manage so beat myself up about it. So this time I will do levels 1 and part of 2 during the week and do a some HHDecluttering on a Sat morning. There is so much that needs doing it is overwhelming!

Hopefully that way I'll have a proper work/cadets/exercise/house balance.

How does that sound to people?

    1 step closer

You are learning fast. I rarely ever finish my lists:o I really need to work on the balance of life and when to stop. Hence my new plan of calling it a day in a room and noting down what still needs to be done, the next week.

Boring myself to tears with funding agreements. Only 2 more documents to read. Sharing my misery by sending emails to people asking questions about them;)

I've done 12 mins on the wii fit plus the body test - apparently I haven't been on it for over a year!

I bet when I return to it this week it will say the same but I know my weight is within 2lb of what it was so not all bad ;)

Need to get back on the winter olympics to practise my skiing :rotfl:

We have a Ruby Dry ,it doesn't make much noise on it's lowest setting which we use it on most of the time,we move it from room to room and leave it over night, according to the blurb it is quite cheap to run-I think about 4p an hour. It's not too big and we have been really impressed with it as it also kicks out some heat so heating the room it's in at the same time,
I have posted the website below

    Hope that helps :-)

Thanks hun I'll take a look tomorrow

    Evening all

First day back at work for a [STRIKE]6am[/STRIKE] 6.10 start - bit of a shock to the system. 2 hours training 3-5 and I'd had enough.

Did DW before work and it's on again now. Collected DS2 on the way home and collapsed with a cuppa before packing decorations away (DS1 just needs to put the boxes back in the loft now). Then tea and a bit of chill time. Reading with DS2 and DS2's bedtime - now I'm absolutely cream crackered. I should be home early tomorrow, so I'll clean and hoover the suite then before it can go to friend's down the road.

Before bed I need to do a bit of work and at least S&S kitchen. Don't think I'm up for anything else tbh. Must give DS1 a list of questions to ask at college tomorrow so I can phone regarding child benefit. :D

Meadowhall meet Wed 15th Feb - so far I've had confirmations from froddy, mummyyof5, maxonian, juliejim (and CY?). :D Please remember to send pm rather than post on the thread - I don't keep up with it during term time. :(

    Hi all

Poohbear - glad fire not to serious. Hope you're ok now

DW on just waiting for it to finish so I can empty it before bed.
    Kitchen s&s

Don't have kids, 1 spare room is occupied by my cousin and the other is ROD!!! To be fair it has stuff from lounge in there whilst I (very) slowly redecorate it, so ROD will have to stay that way until lounge is finished.

    Bathroom

    Bath, sink & loo cleaned
    Window sill wiped
    Dusted

Floor will be done tomorrow when I do the kitchen (Bathroom is downstairs)

Currently waiting for 2nd person to turn up to collect the old BM I put on freecycle. (1st person was meant to come between 6.30-7 didn't show). She emailed me an hour ago to say she'd come for it after she'd finished in Pizza Hut, hoping she won't be too long as I'm off to bed in the next 50 mins and heaven help her if she wakes me up (i'm not good when I'm woken up! :-) )
ETA: she turned up - something decluttered!

Nice to 'see' so many new people.

    Love and light x
