    I'd like to say I've done loads today but I haven't :o

Done a bit of decluttering this morning, done 2 loads in the DW and 3 in the WM & TD. DD2's dad came round and brought us all t-shirts he got NYE from winter wonderland in Hyde Park :) He gave us a lift to the bank and shopping which saved my petrol and parking money :money:
He had dinner with DD1 and I this evening (DD2 has gone to my parents for the night)
I will try to do more tomorrow :o :rotfl:

dusty - it hasn't been too bad this year until now, but the house hasn't got as cold as in previous years (well, it's not as cold outside), I now have an extractor in the bathroom, and I'm keeping the dehumidifier upstairs as that's where it's worst. It may take a while to dry the house out if it has been damp in the past, but if the new windows are double glazed, you shouldn't be getting condensation.

I do (except today) air the house in the middle of the morning (just as it starts cooling down from the morning's heating) for an hour or so, and that generally helps.

I have to admit, people keeping asking me why I don't change mine. I like metal windows :) what don't you like about the new windows and can you hide it?

Upstairs old double glazed, aluminium, covered in condensation whenever outside temp is low, not had this problem so much in previous years.

New wooden windows all double glazed and dripping with condensation whenever temp is low; only happens in living room but then the others replaced in DH office didn't get much condensation really when they were crital. I hate the style of them, storm proof - they look like plastic double glazing from outside. Ratio of wood to glass is too high. Kitchen window I cannot see out of due to about 6" of wood at eye height. So wish we had not had it done. Metal ones were a lovely style but in such poor condition with corrosion. I have kept the crital french doors and will not change them under any circumstances.

Is the dehumidifier noisy? Does it cost much to run? How big are they?

    Evening all,

I'm shattered, i've had to stop Ds2's room so he could go to bed. I reckon another couple of hours tomorrow and it'll be done. I delegated the washing up to Ds1 so i could get on. Downstairs is now looking lovely and clean and tidy, upstairs is a different story.

I've managed to lose one of Ds2's school shoes. I'm positive i saw it earlier but now i can't find it. I'm hoping it's not in one of the rubbish bags. :(

That's 2 rubbish bags, 2 bags for the CS and a bag of recycling filled and more to come.

    ?

We have a Ruby Dry ,it doesn't make much noise on it's lowest setting which we use it on most of the time,we move it from room to room and leave it over night, according to the blurb it is quite cheap to run-I think about 4p an hour. It's not too big and we have been really impressed with it as it also kicks out some heat so heating the room it's in at the same time,
I have posted the website below

    Hope that helps :-)
