I've read they recommend you latch baby on as soon as they have had their tie cut so hopefully he will latch and you will notice some big improvements
That's right. They stick them straight on the boob because booby milk is antibiotic, plus it takes their mind off the fact that someone's just severed their tongue."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I'm a bit jealous of you all with your meet ups and baby groups. We have no social life whatsoever, bit worried Jakey will be a loner if I don't take him to any groups or anything
Took him to get weighed and he is 10lb 11oz at 4 weeks old so I'm pleased as that means he's gained 1lb12oz in a fortnight. We didn't get to find out his length though as clinic was running over. I know he was [STRIKE]over the 99.6th centile for length [/STRIKE] the size of a four year old a couple of weeks ago though x
Corrected for you
I know what you mean about feeling isolated and worrying if it will affect bubs. That's why it was so nice to meet up with sm yesterday. It's lovely to talk about babies for hours, plus it's good for the babies to meet other babies. Jonathan's a bit little at the moment to take an awful lot of interest (and Freddie's too caught up in playing with his own winkel) but it's nice to start anyway.
How about your local surestart centres? Do they do any mummies and babies groups? IME, once you start going to one or two things, you find out about other stuff and it snowballs. Before you know it, you'll have other mums to meet up with and friends for Jakey."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Nutella ... Try promo code 8134 on vertbaudet
It's still allowing 25% off... Brings toy box to £36 ish
Not sure how long it'll last tho as the code was meant to be for 1week from bonfire night
:j Thanks so much! I read your post after I'd gone to bed last night, and went straight back downstairs to order it in case the code didn't work today. Just as well I did - I just tested it now out of curiousity, and it didn't work :T
Ikkle, thanks for the Ikea link - I'll definitely have a look at that one next time we go, as I think we'll need a storage box for another room too and it'd fit in really well colour-wise0 -
I take it Aiden has settled in to nursery already then!!
What will he have for lunch there? Do you have to supply it?

He will have breakfast lunch and a small snack/tea there. He could have full tea but I asked he has something small as I want to hopefully feed him with us when we get home.
I saw the menu and it all looks nicex

Just had a shockingly good tea time - almost finished a bowl of spud, leek and pea mush. First try aswell, normally he howls at new things. Turns out all you need is a bit of Labyrinth playing and mummy doing some terrible gangsta/street dance moves. Good job the curtains were shut.

Glad Aiden went to nursery with no fuss, it will make it so much easier for you I think. My friends little boy has been going for a few months now and still breaks down when she has to leave, it really upsets her and I know she's thinking about it all day at work, it's horrible
Yes Sammie he did thanks, he is always almost ok at night, he likes his sleep too much, he was awake really early compared to usual but he was up at 6am yesterday for our flight so I think it'l take a few days to get back to normal.
He has a bit of a dodgy/sore tummy. When we were home well meaning people kept giving him bits of there food, but because of his intolerance he can't always have it. His tummy is all swollen nowhe had a massive nappy this morning but don't think it's all out yet. I do explain to them but they seem to think "oh a little bit will be fine" which it is, but it's loads of little things and they add up.

Ahh that's good gilly I bet he missed his bed:o
Hope his tummy settles soon.
I've just put the straps on Noah's car seat up to the highest points, think we will have to think about the next size up soon. Will sit down and do a bit of research on them I think.
