George loves his. Makes me giggle every time I say it, I'm such a child.
Do you have a sure start centre near you ikkle? I go to a play group at the local one to me and its really good, try googling it maybe? It's hard the first time or two to walk in but its worth it. I always try to get there a bit early so I don't have to walk in when everyone's already in little groups iykwim? Or try netmums? Good news on his weight!Newborn thread member

Ikkle - like katiechoc said try netmums, they have a meet a mum section and also info on baby groups local to your area. Might be worth a look.

I've looked at groups local I'm just not brave to go by myself, plus I still can't stand up for long, I'm sure I will pluck up the courage eventually xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

We've all been there ikkle it is very daunting at first. If your not ready yet don't worry, you have a few years to take little one to groups! I usually take Noah to a group on Monday but alot if my friends have moved to the "over 1's" group and alot of the ladies left are quite clicky so I haven't been for a couple of weeks but I know I have plenty of time to find another one.

I'm back, no chance of reading back as there are pages and pages you chatty lot!
Hope everyone is well. We had a lovely trip away but A was just the baby from hell the full time, I could not pin point what was up with him, he had a temp almost the whole 5 days, and I know he wasn't having a proper nap but he was sleeping pretty much the same at night. I had a look today and 2 top teeth have now cut  so he now has 3 top and 3 bottom, albeit 2 at the top are just through. Poor mite, I was getting very stressed with it all, and now I realise why I feel so bad for him.
While we were gone he learned to say "Hiya" and wave at the same timeHe also waves for bye bye but can't say that just yet. We're also hit the dreaded 9 month separation anxiety and he's decided Daddy is much better than me, so do not want to imagine what it'l be like tomorrow when OH goes to work although thankfully he leaves before baby wakes so may not be too bad.
For those hitting the 4 month sleep regression, my sympathies and massive hugs, it will pass though, and in so many cases, food isn't the answer as it is more of a development leap than a growth spurt. There little minds just can't shut down, but milk will help them fall back over. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Hello Gilly
Glad the trip was good. Poor Aaronhope he is ok tomorow, maybe a nights sleep in his own bed is what he needs.
Aiden can wave too, sooo cute but ours is quite a camp wave with his hand turned in!! He has been clapping over the weekend too, a bit clumsy but still a clap
Hope everyone sleeps well. Hopefully Aidens still worn out and sleeps through! XLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Thanks Ro, bargain queen even on holiday!
Welcome back gilly! Poor Aaron, hope he's a bit more settled after a night in his own bed?
Ikkle don't worry about groups etc, it is daunting. Similar to money penny said our surestartalways has a few members of staff around and they're pretty good at sitting down with anyone who's a bit nervous so at least you're not sat there completely on your own!
Right, got to get some work backed up to take on the laptop and the last few bits packed so we can get off straight after rush hour. Have good days allNewborn thread member
