Yay for getting back in your pre preg clothes so soon SM! I lived in elastic waisted jogging bottoms for ages! But to be fair, I'm a greedy beggar when it comes to biscuits so its my own fault.

Hope your oh likes the house turtle. It's a vicious cycle when you could afford a mortgage but can't get the deposit because of renting! We got a 100% mortgage just before the market went t!ts up, but it means we don't have enough equity to be able to move yet so the three of us are in a one bed flat.

Our walk has been called off now :( the friends we were meeting have a little girl so because of the chickenpox thing and not great weather we're going to leave it. Think I'll still take G to the shop though, need some fresh air.

Nutella did you try LO with the sweet potato? We had our first meal round the table last night with G in his little booster seat thing. Was lovely, although he did manage to get mango all over everything. That stuff is sticky!

I did! She had butternut squash yesterday and sweet potato today - we've officially started weaning! :j She did pretty well I thought, especially with the sweet potato - she was opening her mouth and reaching out for the bowl, and some of it even went into her mouth! Sounds like George is doing really well - we're going to try mango tomorrow or on Monday as I found a really nice and ripe one today.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of butternut squash stains? I washed her bib, cloth and clothes on the 60 + stains programme that gets rid of every poo stain going, but alas not butternut squash...

Gilly, sorry to hear you're poorly :( Hope you feel better soon. Huge thank you for the car seat info by the way - we've ordered the one you have from Boots. I really like the sound and look of it, and such a bargain at only £90 (once the parenting club points have been taken into account)! I'd been meaning to start researching car seats but hadn't got round to it - so nice to have someone do it for you! ;)

Anything orange is a sod to get out I think. I usually pur stuff in the sunlight and it comes out. Vanish powder is quite good too.

Readng this makes me think how lucky we are to have bought a house. We had a lot of help from my parents for the deposit as we couldnt have done it on our own.

Sexymouse, well done for getting back in the jeans!!

Hope poorly babies and mummys get well soon.

We viewed the house I really like...OH wasn't keen. Probably a good job we can't afford to buy, as we'd never agree anyway :rotfl:

We drove past a house on the way back from the viewing, and it had a 'to let' sign outside and a car on the driveway. Called the agent to see if it was tenanted (didn't want to intrude on someone's Saturday!) and it isn't....so knocked and the owner was in it - we viewed, it's lovely, in our price range etc, we both love it - amazing! So the search is over (as long as our application is accepted!) and it was an accidental one - all those hours researching houses online wasted lol!

Oh nutellla yay for weaning, but I'm soooo jealous!! 6 weeks and 1 day to go, I'm sure it will fly by :)

    Yay for house! :T

Those 6 weeks will definitely fly by! We've started a bit early at 23 weeks as she was very ready for it. I've gone from being a bit scared of weaning to being really excited about it (thanks Annabel!) and already have her meals for the next two weeks planned :o
  • Sorry to all the ladies and babies who are unwell, not nice. Niall still has a cold which he developed following his first lot of immunisations, it's not affecting him too much.

Sorry to hear about the mastitis sexymouse, I had it about a month ago and was on antibiotics, no further advice to add, I didn't actually have much pain in my boobs so was able to continue to feed Niall. The fever made me feel pretty rough for a few days, I am assuming your are taking paracetamol if you still have a fever.

Started my reusable nappy trial yesterday and loving it. Have dh at home with me for next 5 days, I need the help at the moment as breastfeeding about every 2 hours as well as expressing 4 times a day, all my time is spent doing this, sterilising and just getting food for myself. Niall doesn't sleep a lot in the day which doesn't help.

20% off cheeky wipes this weekend. I use them and think they are great. I find Normal wipes very flimsy.

    Evening all

Noah is still really poorly :( going to give him a nice bath and try to settle him. He hasn't even wanted his food today. Managed to go to primark today as DP finished work early so stayed with Noah. They didn't have any chinos in Noah's size so will look in matalan this week. Hope everyone has had a good day, I'm going to try and get the kids sorted so I can watch X factor tonight :D

Try bibs like these, dark colours so don't really stain, and cover most of their clothes. :D He still puts his hands underneath and wipes them on his trousers when he's feeling contrary of course. :D
