    Hello all :D

Good to read how you are all doing!

Fluffnutter - congrats! Second kira's advice and the others re lanisoh and also I did use nipple shields (medela) but I think they might be controversial but I was desperate at the time !!

    Mimi :D hello !!

Wish I could get my brain in gear yo respond properly !!

    Mozzy ((hugs)) poor Charlie

Those who have had jabs hugs for the babas ! Hopefully they will sleep them off

Right day 3 of weaning ! Day 1 was small amount of organix whole grain baby rice mixed with made up warm aptamil. Day 2 the same but larger amount. Trying to do the meal mid to late morning. Day 3 I got the mebby baby chef out and some carrots :rotfl: took me 30 mins :rotfl: this includes 10 mins to get the lid off (i turned it yhe wrong way dont ask lol) after steaming :o before putting it back in to pur!e ! The result four pots of pur!ed carrot think pots about the size of a matchbox think I need to work in quantity but also I have to check he likes carrot first !
I mixed the pur!e with a full portion of baby rice and he wolfed it so result !! Now I know how to use the machine should be easier and quicker!!
I am giving him the avent soft spout blue cup with a small amount if milk with his meal.
Might try making pea pur!e tomorrow
Trying to do one thing at a time in case if reaction and then will mix things later on.

Got gas people coming out as they say that meter is too old do they will replace it.... Now why doni suspect the new one will be more 'efficient' ......

    Hope all ok xxx

Fluff another advocate of lansinoh here, it's expensive but just use it use it use it!! Instructions say after every feed but I was putting it on prob every hour or just whenever....it takes a day or so but you will soon see/feel the effects.

As someone said above you do need to rub it between your fingers first to soften it as its very thick.

I'm shattered, Reuben has a cold and he couldn't sleep lying down due to being so congested, (he kept snorting and waking himself up after ten mins!) so I stayed up all night holding him so he could sleep upright. At 5am he discovered how to breathe through his mouth (wahey), but by that point he was so miserable he cried when I put him down to go for a wee.....normally he is so placid and nothing fazes him, poor little mite.

Had a busy day so not slept yet, and OH and i had a blazing argument on a topic that we will never agree on this morning, so I'm not sure I'll get any sleep this evening either as now he's home im sure we'll pick up where we left of this morning...great!

Turtlemoose - the carvol plug in is good for helping LO breathe when bunged up
Check the minimum baba age though !

Hope the argument is buried soon x

Thanks ro but he's 6 weeks off being allowed the carvol thingy....may get one for then though if they are good.

Sadly the argument will never be buried, but at least he is being sulky and quiet rather than shouty like 6am this morning!! What's worse is he is totally wrong, and I can prove it with logic, and other peoples opinions, but he's not (and never will be) prepared to listen on this topic!! It's one theat surfaces from time to time, usually it's ok but just came to a bit of a head this morning, unfortunately even when the rest of our relationship is perfect, that one is always simmering under the surface. Normally it's ok but just really got to me today :(

    Evening all :)

Sammie - glad Noah is sleeping, hopefully he is feeling better when he wakes.

Ro - well done! Sounds like you are right into weaning! Is that what you have to do, mix some veg with the baby rice then? I've read loads on it but doesn't seem to stay in!! Hope you get a new efficent gas meter!!

Turtlemoose - boo for the argument :( hope it doesn't start off again.

Aiden is still awake here...we thought he was tired so did milk early...just wide awake now lol!!

Congratulations fluffnutter - please don't go all fluffy on me though! ;-)

Am feeling tired, am feeling ratty and grotty and having a crud day - my Costa Coffee fell off the garden wall I'd balanced it on while sorting out the pushchair, I've spilt boiling kettle water on my slippers, I've got an infected bellybutton oozing pus and blood and Tesco pharmacy are numpties who took my prescription, admired it for an hour and then told me to sod off they couldn't do it since their computers were down - AFTER the closing time for the other chemists. Then hubby managed to drop the top and leggings set we bought in the sale for her down the side of the cooker so it's covered in god-knows-what and I don't think it'll all wash out.

Grrrrr. Just waiting for the 3 hours solid of dummy out - dummy in - dummy out - dummy in all night.

Granny meanwhile has a week involving meeting the queen and wingwalking - I'm not quite sure what to make of all of this!
