I haven't ventured here yet as I don't have a newborn but am 14wks pregnant with my first baby.
I have been getting lots of vouchers for free/cheaper huggies newborn nappies and have picked up the free packet and one cheap packet so far. However, then I read some reviews online which said they were terrible and leak way more than other nappies - just wondered which nappies everyone advises to buy (before I spend any more on huggies which despite being cheap, may be rubbish?).
Also another naiive question - how many nappies do babies go through in the average day?
Sorry if I sound like I haven't got a clue...but at this stage I haven't! Trying to buy little bits here and there to spread the cost.
Would be glad of your advice and opinions.
Best wishes
also if you dont open them you can exchange them hun xx Good luck:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

I had the not liking one size in a particular brand of nappy thing too... with us it was Tesco's Premature size I didn't like - but loved 'em when we got to size 1.
I got a tonne of cloth nappies from freecycle I've been trying out - still undecided really on 'em yet.
As for how many they go through as a newborn - work on about 10 a day to start with... we tend to go through one per bottle (change her before feeding - just a habit we got into when we needed to wake her up to take her feeds as a preemie) and allow an extra one or two for really stinky poos you want changed on the spot.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
