They knew I had not...

read the "terms and conditions" as the salesperson was standing next to me in the 2 seconds I had the form to sign it.
Now the goods are delivered and "not as described". A green rug described as TEAL. But the store will not exchange the goods as I had seen the rug and ordered it.
I will be complaining to their Head office, and writing to my credit card company to get a refund.
My question is :-Have I any recourse with them knowing I had not read The T&C's?

I'm slightly baffled by your question. If you'd seen it, why order it if it wasn't what you wanted? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I doubt there will be any recourse as you would have been able to say "excuse me I want to read this before I sign to say I have read it"
Is the rug a different colour to the one that you saw in store?0 -

T&C's would only offer you something in addition to the law - reading them now might be beneficial to you as if you ordered in store the store is not required to provide you with a refund and your credit card company will not be any help if you ordered in person, in store too.
You would only be able to dispute the colour if no exact rug or sample was present at the point of ordering.0 -
Teal is a bluish green so I'm not quite sure why you ordered it if that wasn't the colour you wanted.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just to clarify....
you saw the rug, they supplied that rug, and because it states a different colour on the paperwork you want to return it?0 -
What have the terms & conditions got to do with you examining a rug, deciding to buy it, then asking for a refund because you somehow ignored the colour when you bought it and object to their definition of "teal"?
Anyway, to answer your question, if you signed the Ts&Cs "under duress" (is that the right term?) and can demonstrate that to a court, then it may be possible to have the agreement invalidated. I presume no one held a gun to your head or threatened to break your legs if you didn't sign?0 -
I orderd the "Teal" rug because I have a "Teal " sofa and but the rug which I saw and is described as "Teal" is NOT "Teal". I saw it in store but it was under a wooden table, If they had had it by one of the "Teal" sofas they have it store you would clearly see, it is "Green" and NOT "Teal".
Google "teal colour" and the images you get back are not green.
I did not have my sofa with me to double check.0 -
if it is described as teal and is 'green' then it is not as described..0

So it sounds like you have been supplied a rug which is the same colour as the one that you saw in the shop. Is that right?
If so, then I believe you have no cause for complaint.0 -
Teal is far more blue than green.
In BS/RAL/Pantone colour standards, it is definitely BLUE.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
