Very nice of you to treat your friend, may not be very MSE but good in the karma stakes!

How you doing the laudry challenge, i've been good and sorted it all out. Also read a good tip in my mums magazine, fold all the sheets/covers for each bedset in one of the pillow cases so its all together, promptly re-arranged the bedding in this way and put the towels in colour co-ordinating sets.... MW your a great influence on me!!

Thanks brodiebobs, I'd like to think I'm careful with money without being tight, especially with friends/family who really are having a hard time. It's my version of MS generosity - maybe frugalosity :rotfl:! Today I bought my boss a drink in the pub, and one for myself for £6.20. Even with yesterday and today's discretionary spends I still have £120 of pocket money left for the month though.

Sounds like you're doing really well with the laundry :T. I put everything away on the weekend, now have some stuff on the dryer to take off but my rule is just to put it away when its OFF the racks - babysteps and all that :rotfl:! I have done that in the past with all the bedding sets at once, it does make a big difference as you don't have to root around but all the bits - but keep forgetting to do it on a regular basis! Thanks for reminding me - I think you will end up being the good influence.

Pay day :j - put 300 ISA, 1100 savings :D, and a v small OP to report - £2.18, from Ama$on sale. We had to dip into our savings in Jan, mainly for petrol misfuel + service, but am now up to £7363 in savings (were £6300 at beginning of Jan).

Had neurological appointment- as pregnancy has stopped migraines, no need to go in the near future. Left on the books though so can email for appointment, won't need to wait for a referral.

The cushion was brilliant, had a much better nights sleep than have had in weeks :D. It was £18 from fleabay, instead of £45 new.

Have meeting with AMA mentor tomorrow, about to update log. Also booked myself on some free training in March which will count towards it.

Woke up feeling dreadful today, just could not stop crying. Had bad night's sleep - went to bed at 930pm, OH was tapping away on laptop and when I asked him to go in the other room he had a bit of a huff, so couldn't get off for a while thinking he was upset with me (he wasn't really). Then I had really vivid dreams, some quite disturbing, and I woke up cold as well. Now exhausted, feel drained - I just can't do it today. Have called in sick and cancelled meeting with mentor.

    Oh poor you MW! :(
You did the right thing to take the day off and refill your cup. Your life sounds full-on and pregnancy takes it out of you, so I hope you have your feet up and are indulging in some inappropriate tv? Boxsets of SATC are my DVDs of choice!

Well done on the savings and treating your friend. As Brodie says it is good karma :A

Like you, I cleared all the washing at the weekend, but it all went pear-shaped last night. Will make amends before the end of the day though.

Take care and hope you're feeling better soon x

Aw dear that sounds bad, I have really vivid dreams anyway but when I was pregnant had some really horrid ones, think it must be the hormones or something!?

Hope you managed to get plenty of rest today and recharged your batteries.

Thanks ladies, I am feeling much better now after a lot of sitting around and a nap in the afternoon ;). I watched that secret location today, an interesting concept but they've stretched a 30-40 minute show into 1 hr. Daytime telly really is pants, I will have to get some decent boxsets lined up for when chained to sofa breastfeeding :rotfl:! I am finding it all a bit full on, and do get overwhelmed at times - I tend to keep going til I burn out. That's why I've been trying to have quieter weekends. At least it is only 3 1/2 months til mat leave.

Hope you caught up with the laundry macgirl. I had to hang out another load, so had to put away the one hanging on the rack - actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be *penny drops*.

brodiebobs think its definitely hormones, I have quite a lot of vivid dreams now, don't feel refreshed at all after a nights sleep. Plus the baby tends to start moving around once I go to bed.

I did a few MS bits. Emailed body shop about an expired voucher, hoping they will extend so I can use - if not, gave it a try. Have an extra rental now from lovefilm, due to dodgy disk we got on the weekend. I posted an ama$on sale (this was actually harder than it sounds as the local PO closed for refurbishment, next nearest closes half day on Weds , and the third furthest had a queue - so a 15 min job took 50 minutes!). Got a free £5 credit on lovecard - have ordered OH a free valentines card (sooo romantic :rotfl:!) I also pulled out two jewellery boxes from the bottom of the wardrobe I don't use any more, they're on the charity pile, along with about 6 necklaces I'd forgotten about.

DD and OH cooked a lovely dinner from leftovers, and OH gave me a present - a new maternity top from Next. Made even more special by the fact that he told me first he paid for it from his pocket money :heartpuls:heartpuls, true love! It's this one in the yellow and grey http://www.next.co.uk/x49308s2#807924x49

  • And one last thing before bed - am planning to use part of this weekend to finish up sorting out the kitchen (my month 1 zone).

    This site: http://simplemom.net/project-simplify-pantry-fridge-results/
has links to hundreds of people who have simplified their kitchen, so hoping to get inspiration from it in time for Sat!

There must be something wrong with me... got home, and the first thing I did (other than eat MORE snacks :rotfl:) was to clear my draining board... and then put the laundry away :eek::eek:!

  • Had a very relaxing weekend - DD at dad's, so just been me and OH which has been lovely.

Yesterday we took a trip to westfield to try and buy a fridge freezer - ours is getting frosted up very badly and leaking (it is a frost free model!). The customer service in john lewis was quite frankly awful - lovely people, didn't have a clue about electrical goods though. One didn't even know he sold a brand we asked about (it was right behind him!). At least we've narrowed it down to 2 models, and will probably buy after payday. I sorted out my wardrobe - bagged up all the non-maternity wear, cupboards are now so empty ! 12 things put in charity bag, and 4 things in recycling too.

Today we went to the jewish museum in camden for the first time together - it was an interesting place, lots of events and activities, had a really nice feel to it. Loved one of the displays, not sure about the other, but would definitely go back with DD at some point. Then went up to golders green for kosher food and jewish cheesecake! Spent £23 all in all on our day out. Had a (very unkosher) pork cassoulet in the slow cooker, so that was all ready by time got home.

Done a bit of research into summer camps, as DD said she'd like to go to one (out of the blue, I didn't even suggest it!) I did say I'd be home all summer with baby bean, so thought it'd be nice for us to have some time together, but she said she'd just like to go for a week so she had something to talk about when she went back to school :rotfl:! Am considering an ATE break - looks like a good ethos, educational charity rather than private business - is just under £400 for a week. Anyone tried it before, or any other camps?

Am very nervous about the snow, have fallen over in it 2 years in a row so if its not all melted tomorrow am worried about taking a tumble with baby bean. Have a horrible blood sugar test tomorrow morning too, really am dreading it.

I really must stop posting so often - feel like talking to myself at the mo!

Got mortgage statement today - current balance £173,753.51 :j!

Blood test was rubbish - I wasn't on the list, and hadn't brought form (all my notes taken off me and hadn't realised needed this one). Had a bit of a flip out as I had low blood sugar (it was a starve yourself test), and I hate blood tests. All got sorted, and after 2 hours of sitting around, had second part of test. Felt awful on way home, but have eaten now and am going to have a quick rest til I feel better.

Working from home this afternoon as I was too nervous to go into work, hoping will thaw enough today so tomorrow will be much safer.

Forgot to say, managed to do weekly shop for £40 :D which is much better than the last few weeks. We also exchanged the duvet storage bags at lakeland that were faulty - they made some mistake so we ended up getting a £4 discount on our tupperware to store sugar and the like, which were on 3 for 2 anyway.

Over the next few days I'd like to:
    * Timetable action points for AMA by Tuesday
[STRIKE]* Call NHS and see if can cancel pre-paid prescription by Tuesday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* Post friend's birthday card by Tuesday
    * Post ama$on sale by Tuesday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* Call energy supplier and see why putting price up if have a winter surplus :mad: by Wednesday[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]* Post boots to be fixed by Wednesday
    * Washloads x [STRIKE]3[/STRIKE] 2 by Wednesday[/STRIKE]
    * Pack for holiday by Thursday night
    * Clear bag of toot from under bed by Thursday night
