Tell me about it! Absolutely never ending! Since I've has ds2 there has just been ridiculous amounts of the stuff! He's got a cold again too, cue snot trails across all my clothes :rotfl: Our washer has broken too and as we're about to move and our new place comes with all white goods I'm not gonna bother repairing it so have to drag it all up to the launderette, groan!Updating soon...0

Ouch to no washer
Hope the one in the new house is a good one! I'm sure you are counting the days. My DD sneakily wipes her nose on her school cardy hoping I won't notice. Pesky kids :cool:

Hope things are better for dd, it is so awful when children are nasty to each other at school.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Right, so we have brodiebobs and macgirl in for the 'lets put it away' laundry challenge - and courgette, I'll put you down as coach/motivational speaker
. I'll start today, as I have three bags in the bedroom to put away. And macgirl, that is exactly it, I'll have a blitz and get on top of it and then another one will 'tap me on the shoulder'. I think the aim is to put them away as soon as I have removed them from the clothes horse/dryer, and before bed at the latest.
courgette - feel for you for lack of washer. When I was homeless, in temporary accomodation - there was no plumbing/space for a washing machine. Apparently it is only considered an essential for homeless families if they are 7 or more people - that means you could be a single mum with 5 kids and still have a wm considered a luxury :eek:! I was there 2 and a bit years, was an absolute nightmare!! Couldn't stand sitting around in the laundrette with a bored 2/3 year old. Ended up paying my childminder to do my laundry, which meant pushing dirty clothes there and wet clothes back - 1/2 hr each way in the bottom of the buggy. If I can cope with that, surely I can cope with putting my clean blinking laundry away now :rotfl:!
SSS - definitely a better end to the week than a beginning, no more problems from that girl, thank goodness. After our talk with her G&T teacher last week we have been encouraging DD to listen and pay more attention in her english set. Her teacher has been writing really positive comments in her home-school liaison book every day since, and we give her a chihuahua sticker for each good comment. She now has 7 stickers, at 10 we said she can get an extra treat from the shop (chocolate bar or something), and at 20 I have a beano t-shirt that I got from the charity shop that she is desperate to have! She really responds well to praise, recognition and encouragement - sadly in classes of 30 kids that doesn't always happen, and it is only the bad behaviour that gets any attention.
A very quiet weekend on the cards, as friend was meant to be meeting now can't make it (is it bad to be relieved?). Have taken 2 bags of stuff from dd's room sort out the other week to the charity shop, coming home with *only* one book - nella last's 1950s diary, 50p. Done a meal plan, now hope to just relax and watch a movie this evening with OH. DD is shattered too so she's asked for a quiet day - happy to just read and cuddle on the sofa. OH putting together a doll's house for her to play with her sylvanians, as she requested. I took it down when we moved 5 years ago and not put it together since, what a bad mum I am!

Just moved closer to one of my 2012 aims - to book a weekend away for me and OH on our own in the spring. 2 nights including B&B here http://www.crownandgarter.co.uk/index.php, for £11 :j:j:j! It was on offer through redletterdays, with an extra discount for their newsletter subscribers, and I finally used £100 the redletterdays voucher I won a year or so back
. I wouldn't necessarily pick berkshire as my first choice for a weekend away, but it will be easy to get to, is rural, has walks nearby and a big country house to look at, and the B&B serves nice sounding food so it should be a very relaxing weekend. Have the order reference emailed through, now just need to book - hoping to get a date in March when DD away at her dads.

I did start putting away the clean laundry this morning as promised, got distracted by a t-shirt that was too small for DS and ended clearing out both kids wordrobes and listing aload on ebay..... very MSE but sadly a major avoidance technique!!! I just need to prize myself off here and get on with it.0

Erm, I've not done anything MS, although have stripped the bed and put it in the washing machine - which will just add MORE to the clean laundry to put away :eek:! Also found the dolls furniture for DD and spent 20 mins playing with it with her, she is quite merrily setting it all up now.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Wow - £11! That's amazing MW well done :T
I did blitz our bedroom this morning as we've had builders in looking at the damp patch. Sadly, I ran out of steam, so shoved a basket of laundry in a cupboardOut of sight, out of mind!
It's fine to be relieved. DD and I were going to go the cinema this evening, but were both half hearted about the films on offer, so have decided to stay in and save money instead - have to say I'm glad to be staying in!
Have a nice evening x0 -
* Healthy, happy pregnancy
Had an exhausting week at work, with a rotten cold - as a result healthy eating went a little out the window by the end of it, as I hadn’t prepared much in the way of lunches and I just wanted to eat sugary snacks the whole time! Pulled it back on the weekend – lots of relaxing, home made food, and far fewer sugary treats! Did pregnancy yoga yesterday which really helped me feel less stressed. I also have a sore lower back which is really affecting the quality of my sleep. Have bought a dreamgenii pillow (2nd hand from ebay) to help with this, hoping to collect tonight.
* Quality time with OH and DD
We all needed a relaxing time, so it was a quiet weekend at home. Played with DD’s slugs/slime kit and her dolls house with her as she asked, and watched a film together. Paid for weekend away with OH (£11 :j) – just need to book dates.
* Home in control
Took 2 x bags to charity Sat, and an unwanted gift donated on Sunday too. Sorted through DD’s 5 bags from her room and now down to a small selection I need to deal with (reunite with other parts/ebay/keep), the rest is all binned/recycled. Went through DD’s 4 toy boxes she never used as were stacked on top of each other – all cleared out her room now, and toy shelves moved to side to create space for doll’s house. Will empty the toy boxes, and use them to store things in the spare room for now - could be good for baby when a bit older (good to chuck toys in at end of day, as long as in line and not stacked!). Kept up with keeping draining board clear, and have started new habit – all laundry put away this weekend!
*OP mortgage
Nothing to add here, apart from due a free lunch from Pret due to complaining about one of their sandwiches I had the other day! I suppose I did help OH with CV to apply for job with up to £10K payrise - that'd help OP the mortgage massively
* finish AMA
I attended a committee meeting, and also the networking event I had helped organised, so will put on my log.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Picked up the pregnancy pillow after work - despite being on the other side of London, it only added about 50 minutes to my journey and a) it means I have it tonight and b) I saved £5 in postage costs
.
Treated friend to lunch today, £22 from ahem, next month's pocket money budget, but she is out of work and I thought that only right.
Payday tomorrow :j! Savings total should up as a result. Also have neurology appointment, groan.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
