A clear draining board habit sounds good. I know someone who doesn't wash any clothes until all laundry has been put away. I should do this as I tend to put it away as I need the basket (and I have 2!)

Your bugaboo is a fantastic buy. DS is too big for the carrycot bit now so we need to convert it and I can't wait to take him for a walk when he can look all around.

I think you're doing so well considering you're in the 'feel rubbish' stage of pregnancy. Hope DD settles in school, must be a worry.

That is a good idea Cath, I'm afraid though I'd never get any washing done! I'm sure there is more to put away than I have washed....

As for draining boards MW, I've followed FL for years and always "swish and swipe" my sinks, but recently I read her tips on *how* to clean your sink properly (always thought I knew ). Anyway I followed the instructions and it's so sad to admit, but I DO smile everytime I look at it :rotfl:
I'd not used bleach since I've had my babies, but leaving bleach in the water for a few hours has left it soooo shiny!

    (I'll get my coat)

    What a week!!

Work has been really busy - wrote book proposal, which is being commented on. Yes tyo - it is work related, can't say much more than that. Not sure it'll go much further, but it is one of my objectives, so at least can consider it done. Lots of other work deadlines, and running round between various sites.

DD had more problems with school on Monday, this time a girl saying really nasty things about the baby. She's said and done things before so went up the school and got deputy head involved. Parents and child told in no uncertain terms if she does anything like that again will escalate, exclusion mentioned. Was a sleepless night for me before I could get down the school. My cold is coming out, so not breathing well, also affecting sleep.

So generally feeling exhausted and a bit wrung out!

OH approached by head hunter for job. A promotion, and up to 10k payrise. Not sure he'll even get an interview at the minute, but meant updating his CV, which took us 3 hours last night. That's after 10 hours at work, plus travelling. God, i really do sound fed up don't I! Roll on half term holiday!!

Today I am working from home for a few hours, then 3 hour committee meeting, followed by networking event in the evening. Looking forward to the canapes!

ps laundry mountain is going to be February's habit of the month. I am AWFUL at putting clean clothes away, end up ransacking the bags of clean laundry to find pants and the like; the bedroom looks a mess. Anyone want to join me in that habit? Not shining my sink as yet macgirl, but that'll come ;)

I'll def join you on that one MW, I love washing clothes, especially in summer seeing them all blowing on the line but terrible at putting them away. Our piles are also in our bedroom and I end up franticly throwing it about to fine a school uniform or the like... nightmare!!!

I think I need to read up on FL hear lots of people on hear mention it and my house is a state now im working more hours, really need to get on top of it.

Yes, that's one of my downfalls too. I've blitzed the house today and just have to hoover, then it's all done. Apart from our bedroom, which has 2 basketfuls of clean clothes on the bed to sort and put away. I just closed my eyes and walked out closing the door behind me! :rotfl:

So yes, I will join you both on that. Sorry to hear about the problems with DD :( Kids can be really horrid can't they? Take care x

Nearly the weekend! You're doing very well keeping everything going (this is supposed to be supportive, not patronising!). With washing, I used to have that problem too. I now just, well, do it! It used to be that I'd never put any washing away and it used to mount up and up, dh and ds1 didn't put theirs away either and I used to get resentful. Now I just put every load away as soon as it's dry including everyone else's. No more piles of clothes and not being able to find any socks when you're already running late and no more getting irritated with the others gor not putti g stuff away when I've washed it. Takes less than 5 minutes per basket too!
    Updating soon...

Don't get me wrong Courgette, I do do it, but it feels like there is always more to put away than I have washed. No sooner do I put it all away, then there's another basket tapping my on the shoulder! The fun never stops :D
