:( Had another few days of migraine and been signed off for 3 weeks  :(. My doctor wants me to rest completely in that time. Not very good at doing nothing, so any hints or tips on relaxing/how not to go mad with boredom when at home almost all the time would be much appreciated.

DD came home today, I've booked her into holiday club one day, a playdate another, and with family a third day. OH around to help over long weekend. I've tried to explain I need to rest but being an only child she can get a bit lonely. She's playing with the neighbours children at the minute, and I took her to the inflatables session in the local pool. Thank god she can swim, meant she could go in on her own and I got to sit in the observation part. No way could I have got in! She's a member, so it was a free session too ;).

Knitting absolutely saved my sanity during a lot of my pregnancy and early weeks with a new babe. Anything that really engrosses you but that keeps you still. Crochet? Reading? Audio books? Have you signed up to ravelry? Free (of course!) and lots of inspiration.

Hope you feel better soon, not that long to go now (although I know it probably doesn't seem that way at the moment!)

    Xx

Thanks Courgette, bought some cotton to make baby blanket, but it is a bit thin so going to try and swap it over the weekend when OH can drive me to the shop. Have lined a few things up in ravelry, and started reading some books off my shelf.

Couldn't sleep last night, up til about 2am so feeling wrecked today. My mum came up to stay with us for a few days which was unexpected and really nice. DD was pleased to have time with her.

It is amazing how little you can do when you stop putting your mind to it! I have listed 3 books on Amazon, posted one small Ama$on sale, OPed £2.84 (ooooh!), and done the odd survey. We found out our MOT expired in November (!) so have it booked in for Monday, car was serviced in Jan so hopefully everything ok with it.

Am going to try and post more regularly (being in the house all day on your own can send you crazy!). Today I hope to see a friend for a cuppa (if she can come over), after a few hours back in bed. DD is at in-laws, being spoilt rotten. I'd like to start working through our paperwork mountain, even 20 minutes would be a good start. And I have already got mum's sheets/towels in the wash.

The last month of pregnancy I was going crazy being stuck on the sofa! Now I got the baby and I'm still stuck at home - can't sit down yet properly so no driving :D

I watched the entire collection of Lie to me, Numbers, Parenthood etc - and that helped a bit with boredom.

Hold on in there, it will get (although gradually and slowly :D ) better

Ooooh, the baby came, congratulations! :j! Will have to have a nosy on your thread.

Need to see what boxsets friends have that I can borrow... Do have a few series to catch up on the freeview+ box too.

OH got paid, but small OP this month as we (finally) bought him the camera body he wanted It is a joint (belated) Xmas and (forthcoming) birthday present. At over £530 it was quite a chunk out of his salary, but he will use it regularly, and as toots said think of all the lovely baby photos he will take with it! Ama$on were doing a promotion so we also have a free camera bag with it too. I do appreciate we discuss and agree big purchases, we know couples where the higher earner just buys what that like when they want it. Anyway, OP of £243.01 to add.

We've also MOTed and taxed the car, and as DD sorted through her wardrobe we went shopping for the basics we were missing yesterday. Mr T were doing £5 off £25 spend, we got jeans, coloured chinos, denim shorts, socks and 2 x summer school uniform for £31. Still need some other basics (white tshirts and the like), so trip to H&M on the cards. Hope I am teaching her how to build a wardrobe (look at what you have, and what you need to fill the gaps), and it means all set for the rest of the year, so should make it easier when baby comes (no more I haven't got any jeans that fit!)

Have managed 2 days where we have visited people, so feeling more optimistic about my health. Cleared our basket of doom (paperwork) last week, so would like to blitz more paperwork in the next day or two. DD has inset day, so having a couch potato day today.

Finally had a decent night's sleep after 2 bad ones in a row. I have only had one (short) migraine episode, so hoping to get back to work next week. Am testing the water with some short trips out the house this week. Taken DD to school (by bus), and today am attempting to use my synchronised swimming tickets at the olympic site! I have someone coming with me, I can get a bus there from the end of my street, and it is only an hour event so *really hoping* it goes well. Wish me luck everyone!

Getting slightly addicted to ebay, really must stop! Have bought 3 wraps for nappies for £9.50 inc P&P as the nappy lady advised size 0 ones for a newborn, only had size 1s. That is the price of one new so pleased with that. Also bought a small bundle of gender neutral babyclothes for the hospital bag for £5.50, only about 3 or 4 outfits but very cute - just seeing if can collect to save on postage.

First day back at work today :j! Looking forward to giving a proper handover, only 3 weeks left til my annual leave starts :j! Doing short days to try and avoid rush hour and take pressure off me. Was good to see everyone.

£2.44 OP today from Ama$on sale yonks ago, and woke up to a decent Ama$on sale (my first in ages). Posted this afternoon, so £17.99 winging its way to me - and £6 odd claimed from tcb.

My ebay addiction got a little worse... but managed to reign it in, only about another £10 spent on clothes. The buyer of the last bundle lived literally 5 mins walk from me, so collected the package and saved £3 odd on postage. OH and I went to our first NCT sale which we really enjoyed, bought enough new born clothes (including, ahem, some as new designer babygrows, we couldn't resist!) and most excitingly I got a Cath Kidston changing bag for £10, I love it! All in all £43 spent there. So we are all sorted for newborn clothes now... I need to remind myself that incase I try and buy any more supercute tiny things!!

I also bagged a kari me baby wrap for £12 on fleabay, they normally go for £30 second hand, so should be able to use then sell on for a profit when finished with it.

Have started attacking the paperwork in the office - 25 books went to charity, 5 more listed on ama$on, and one binliner full of recycling done.

Exhausted after work, and OH working late :(, so planning to do some relaxation to unwind. All I need to do is get through the next 3 weeks without any migraines... fingers crossed!

Managed another week without a migraine :j! Had growth scan last week, baby now 2kg and has hair on its head, awww!

We collected sling which had been barely used; now proud owners of nappy bucket _pale_! Trying to turn my buying addiction into a selling one. Listed 4 bulkier things on fleabay this weekend as it was free listing - quite proud of myself for finally doing this! If all sold for minimum bids would get over £100 - but I think we may have to relist at a lower price on some of the items anyway. Either way means we are creating more space in the baby's room.

£25.14 OP made today from Ama$on sale and tcb. Posted another Ama$on sale yesterday - a cd to a european buyer. Due to price changes cost £2.94 to send, only get £1.80 allowance towards posting! That's well over a £1 increase:eek:! So about to delist most of my international sales.

Only 2 weeks til mat leave!

Spoke too soon as had 3 day migraine this week :(

May mortgage statement is here, as of 01 May 2012 balance is £170,566.44!! Sooo close to the £160s.

Have been decluttering, 31 things got rid of already this month. 40 more cds now listed on Ama$on :D. And my ebay sales finish tomorrow, one will definitely sell, not sure about the 3 others.

OH and I made a mobile for the baby's room from an unused craft set I had bought a year or two back for £1 from a charity shop. Hanging up now, looks gorgeous , is this one http://shop.tate.org.uk/childrens-gi...kit/invt/9558/ Not decluttered as such, but using things I already have is very rewarding.

Been crocheting baby blanket, is looking gorgeous and really helped whilst stuck at home.

Today had quick shopping trip to get DD present for birthday party. Bought new mattress for moses basket we were given (10% off at mamas and papas, £14.40), and 6 vests from primarni which are recommended on lots of mums forums for breastfeeding. They are v stretchy so you can just wear normal clothes over them and pull them down for easy feeding access. £2 each, and they are long enough to cover my tummy. I had bought some proper breastfeeding vests from fleabay, but they came all stained  so have returned for a refund and will just stick to these cheapies. Got the last basics for DD for her wardrobe from Gap sale/H&M (PE kit, long and short sleeved white tops) so now I know she is all set with enough to wear that goes with other things.
