Thanks everyone for the lovely messages - great to see some familiar names, as well as some (de)lurkers!

Had tongue tie treated privately at 6 days old, it was a 75% tie so quite marked. She is latching better, apart from when in pain from the reflux. Tonight she has severe constipation from the gaviscon - heart breaking to hear her scream for hours - am going to ask the doctor tomorrow to try something else instead.

Scaffolding required but not sure if costed in the quote (will email back).

Have won a family ticket for kiddy festival this weekend - might as well be tired in a place the rest of the family will enjoy!

ETA: £200 moved to bike/oz fund. Waiting for my wages to land in current account before next OP. Have £600+ CC bill to pay too.

    OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.20
  • Poor little thing, I hope the condition clears quickly. All the very best,

Hope Baby Museum is well soon. Scaffolding can be scarily expensive so if its included that might be why quotes are high.

Sorry to hear little miss is in so much pain. I know this might sound a bit odd but have you considered taking her to a chiropractor? My ds3 had quite a bit of reflux when he was brand new and a few sessions sorted him out. Just a thought.

Hope she makes a speedy recovery xxx

Congratulations on the new arrival MW! Hope she is feeling better soon.

I asked my OH about the pointing quote and he said it didn't sound unreasonable but he would quote per square metre and the cost would depend on what the pointing was like - so not very helpful I'm afraid!

I hope you get it sorted soon :)

Unfortunately tongue tie is back - she healed a bit too well after procedure :(. Have had an awful week with the reflux so very behind on all things house. Thanks for feedback on scaffolding, hopefully it is included and I can breathe a sigh of relief! Same builder came back with brilliant quote for doing works to front of house (1/5th of last quote!) so we would probably try and book both in at once. Wasn't planning to do it this year, but at that price better off raiding savings and getting it out the way!

Courgette - just booked cranial osteopath for her, not for 2 weeks unfortunately as clinic closed next week - will let you know how it goes.

Popping on to record a £1207.01 OP :)

Realised not applied for child benefit so just emailed OH and asked him to print forms at work.
