I went to the Boots sale and kept putting things in my basket and taking them out again so I was quite pleased with myself. I would have avoided the whole sale completely but I saw this gorgeous kit to make cakes and a cake stand out of felt a few weeks ago and desperately wanted it (although not desperately enough to pay full or half price). I was gutted not to find it today but then my mum came round the corner waving one that she'd found in another part of the shop so I'm very happy.

I wasn't *that* good though as I do have two 'in's but I think I have good reason...ish...

We usually use liquid hand wash, but after doing my inventory realised we have lots of bars of soap, so now we're using them up. The trouble was that they slipped into the sink all the time so I've been looking for soap dishes. In Boots they had the White Collection ceramic soap dishes with a flannel and bar of soap reduced from £5 to £1.25 so I bought two. I'm not making excuses but I honestly wanted soap dishes, and the bars of soap are just a by-product! The flannels are nice quality too.

Oral B Pro Expert toothpaste Clean mint(sample size)
WBA but only if on offer, as it's a bit pricey for my liking as I think there are equally good alternatives for less.

One IN today, just more toothpaste as I had run out completely.

I walked through the Leeds Boots at about 11.30 on my way to the office from an appointment. It was like a plague of locusts around the 75% off section. Couldn't get down the aisles because they were full of old ladies but saw a cocoa butter set in a cloth bag for £3 on the end of an aisle. Thought about getting it because it was a bargain but thought, "yes, but do I NEED it and do I really want more stuff?" the answer was no, so I walked on by. Felt very proud.

.......forgot to add, I was intrigued to learn that "everybody is on the game".

Think I may be missing out on a valuable source of extra income there, Hanval!

(sorry, can't do quotes because I am useless)

Nice to know I'm not the only one who gave in to the Boots 75% sale. Thank god it's only a small Boots or who knows how much I could have spent?! I only got a few presents and some boring everyday stuff anyway, dove sets and body sets for the shower gels and a few other bits. However, I am watching buyapowa like a hawk :( C'monnnn Tom Ford!!

I popped into the Boots sale and only got a couple of INs that I need to declare! Umberto Giannini shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment. All miniatures, and I needed some for my travel bag anyway :)

Well done at getting this at 75% off. I looked at these sets at Christmas and again in the half price sale and they were not good value.
went into boots 75%. they'd been literally completely stripped bare of everything. came away with the Gu crackers that have 12 posh choccies in for £1.62 :)

Which Brandh did you go into evilsquid? Not the Trafford Centre one surely. Last year they had loads of stuff left on their shelves for ages after Christmas.
Hi everyone! I did make it to the Boots sale at 10am (I was way too late). Everything I wanted was gone, tons of sanctuary sets left however at the Boots in Ipswich. I didn't buy anything for myself from the 75% off sale, just one item to give to my mother in law.

But I have INS to report. In my defense, I bought them because I ran out of moisturiser eck!!!

No 7 Essential Moisture Day Fluid (used my £5 off voucher = £5)
4x Lancome Genifique samples that my Lancome SA gave me when I stopped by to talk to her
and I got a bunch of items on the clearance shelf at Debenhams for only £6.50:
    Benefit - Dr. Feelgood
    Elemis - Pro-collagen marine cream
    Burt's Bee day cream
    L'occitane hand cream
    Natio ageless primer
Dead Sea spa magik delicate boosting mask
Dead sea spa magick rich moisturiser

On the flip side, I have a bunch of splutters too!

Wow that's a great haul. Was the Pro Collagen Marine Cream on offer?

its the 3for2 that gets them. the first year they did it we all thought we were on to a right winner, now EVERYONE knows all boots gifts are 3for2. we all look at boots to see if they are good value sets anyway so we all know when we get a boots gift for xmas and my first thought if i received one has always been "was i the free one then?". i wouldn't give a boots gift to anyone because i wouldn't want them to think that i was too cheap to pay full price for their gift or i didn't care enough about them to look around for a more personal gift than just raiding boots.

however for things like secret santa and silly stocking fillers its brilliant. i don't know anyone that bought full price gifts over about £5 in there this year.

I know what you mean. For last year's Secret Santa I didn't mind giving the "free" gift away because I didn't know the person so well. This year we made suggestions as to what we wanted and the person I gifted to put a couple of things from Boots. I spent a while trying to think of three things I could get but these would have only been stocking fillers for Emma and in the end I didn't bother because we had bought smellis in the US in October. My friend's face at work said it all when she opened the No 7 set she had asked for - which I had paid full price for.

    [QUOTE=evilsquid1603;50315423I'm_trying_to_save_up_for_a_sephora_run_in_summer_now_so_I'm_trying_to_be_good._I've_decided_to_try_and_get_a_beauty_insider_card_if_i_can_use_a_uk_address_on_it_and_stop_at_the_500_point_perk_lol.[/QUOTE]

"the Sephora run" sounds very decadent - made it sound like you're just bobbing over to US for the sole purpose of going there and coming straight back! I love Sephora and Ulta. Wish we had those stores here. Am in love with the Sephora by OPI lacquers I got for Christmas.

Have repainted my nails today and am wearing Leighton Denny Supermodel.

Gonna go now as I've been sitting here waiting for my hair colour to develop! Ready to rinse now. See you all soon.

PS. Not that I'm encouraging anything but there is a Kipling TSV coming up on 24 Jan.
