Boots Extracts Mango Body Butter - WBA - This is absolutely gorgeous, smells divine, is a nice consistency and sinks into your skin well. Skin still felt really soft the next day after showering and skipping moisturising (just don't have time in the morning). If all my body lotion stash was as nice to use as this I wouldn't have such a backlog or aversion to religiously moisturising!

Was this the full sized pot that you UU? Just asking out of curiosity as to how long it lasted if it was full size? I have the small jars and they only last me about a week and as I find the texture lovely too was thinking of buying a large pot when I've used them all but not sure it's good value if it won't last too long.

i may have to GA my nearly full Elemis cleanser and unopened one, I've completely broken out on a scale to rival the Dr Haushka cleanser.

I've done some digging and although the actual, legally required ingredients list is noticeably MIA, i found one list online. the main ingredient is Isopropyl Myristate and so far my digging has pulled up that it is highly comedogenic and can send acne prone skin completely off on one. i had thought it was the Perfekt skin gel i was on but now it looks like its that. another ingredient to add to the list of ones i have to avoid.

Is that the Tri-Enzyme one evilsquid? I am only using mine in the morning as I find it really rich and have been naughty and not used Liquid Layer on top. Will try to remember from now on. I have got a spot on my cheek and I never get them there. MrM says it's a chocolate spot but what does he know??:rotfl:

Actually, speaking of which ladies, I have about half a bottle of heat barrier for my hair left. It's Tresemme. I'm not sure if it makes a difference. Can anyone recommend something that definitely *works* for my next purchase? Fanks! :p

I'm using a really good hair serum that I got in the US - Hair Rules Bow Out Your Kinks. I bought two tubes whilst I was over there (50mls each) and have nearly finished the first one. Amazon sell it but it's out of stock at the mo and the only other place online that I have seen the range is CD Wow but not this particular product. Not that this is helpful to you Pickle but if you don't mind me hijacking if anyone spots it for sale anywhere can they give me the heads up?:rotfl: You won't be encouraging anything as I don't stash hair products.

I got the clinique mascara but somehow managed to sign up to go for a eyemakeover in 3 weeks....will not go as thought this was a bit cheeky as did not realise what was happening till she asked if a date was ok then felt a bit stupid if I said I was not going!

I had to book an appointment too rosemary. Have you seen the MSE thread about this. Some people are really outraged at having to have had to make an appointment. Clinique need to get something out of the promotion themselves though don't they?

its the Melting Cleansing Gel. I've been ok with try-enzyme but I've only used that once a week max.

  • Hi all, am wondering if it's worth nipping into Boots on the way to work tomorrow to see if anything half decent is in the 75% sale? Not for me I hasten to add - thinking presents for this year... But am in 2 minds as a) there may not be anything decent left and b) wondering if it'll be packed full of bargain hunters and I can't be doing with the hassle of crowds.

What does anyone think? Worth the trip or not? Not out of my way as I go past on my way to work, I actually go past at the time it opens and it's a large store (London if that makes any difference to likelihood of crowds or stock levels!). Half of me thinks it's a waste of time and hassle, but the MSE part it thinking it might be worth it if I get even a couple of decent gifts out of it, like sanctuary or the like?

Argh! Any opinions / previous experiences of how busy it's likely to be?
    Xx

Another TA: Ruby & Millie iLiner in green.

WIBA? Can't! Mine is so old it had dried up, which is a pity as it was good, but I'm fairly useless at applying eyeliner and haven't used it much, hence it going off.

    Another one bites the dust...:j

Emmarillo, have you thought about Ebaying some of your stash? It is very impressive but will you be able to use it before it goes off? Worth a try maybe. Well done for coming clean (no pun intended) about your collection!

Thanks Helen, I honestly hadn't thought about doing this, and didn't know there was a market for toiletries on ebay but will certainly have a look. The majority of my stash has been gifts, for example all the Lush stuff - my brothers asked what I and eldest daughter wanted for Christmas and I said Snow Fairy, as we both love it, but we ended up with 30 bath bombs and bubble bars. I'm not being ungrateful, and I know they cost a fortune, but both of us prefer showers, and a bath is a rare event for us. Youngest prefers baths, but is prone to eczema so I have to be careful what she uses.

I was also thinking about putting together gift sets for the girls friends birthdays with a few Lush things in. Does that sound really mean?

I've used that one as well (and have one in my stash to use when my current cleanser has finished) and I find it quite oily. It will be a chore to use it before I can replenish the Elemis Balancing Cleanser I'm using at the mo.

I don't have any experience of the crowd levels at the 75% sales as I've only become aware of them after the event when the shelves are full of leftovers. IYSWIM. I'd say though that if you are passing anyway and you have the cash to spend on gifts you should go and get them. I'm not going to bother myself. I had a gift to buy last week and made the special trip to Boots last Wednesday as it was rumoured that the 75% sale would start then.

  • So I had a rather restless night, and it seems I spent most of it dreaming about the Boots 75% sale, in various guises, and with other things going on that somehow happened to be in Boots!! I now feel like I've done the sale ten times over and really can't be bothered now! (well done my subconscious!) I'll have a quick peek as I pass when it opening - if there's a large crowd waiting to ransack the shelves I shall swan on by, if it's quiet I'll pop in for a very quick browse.

Hope everyone is ok. In struggling with the idea that it's only Wednesday!! Roll on Friday... Xxx

Haven't tried the mango one, but a have a set of cocoa butter and agree this is really nice. And shopping in Chester, there's nowhere nicer ;-)

The mango is gorgeous although won't be for everyone as it is very strongly scented but I love it! Chester is fab, lucky to have it on our doorstep here in North Wales, which is also lovely but less good shops!

No, this was only a small pot too so as you say didn't last long, this was 50ml and I think full size is 200ml so would probably last me around a month or so, not massively expensive so I think I could justify it as a HG once the sizeable stash is gone!
