  • Does anyone know how Boots are when it comes to returning things without a receipt? Do they give an exchange?
Just wondering as I bought something a few weeks ago and don't have my receipt, but I doubt I'm ever going to use it as I've tried the something else in the same range and hated it :S

if you just don't like it they have no obligation to do anything so I'd say without a reciept it'd be a loosing battle. BUT if youve tried it and had a reaction then the law kicks in and says they have to refund you because it's not suitable quality or fit for purpose and all you need for that is proof of purchase so a bank statement will do or your ad card. they keep records of everything you buy when you use it to tailor offers to you and I've had emails for a product recall saying you bought this whilst collecting points so we want to let you know to bring it back.
  • wahooo - only on this thread can you get excited about using up a roll on deodrant!!

UU: Rahua Voluminous Shampoo & Conditioner samples. WNBA I had to use two samples of each and with the price of a full size bottle it would cost ~£3 each time I wanted to shampoo and condition! And my hair didn't even feel particularly nice or clean.

OUT: MAC Wonder Woman Lipglass sold on ebay. Not my colour but I love lipglass

OUT: Went through my lip stuff and had a massive cul, binned: 2x elf lipgloss pens WNBA not even if they were 10p just make my lips sticky, not shiny or coloured
    Rimmel lipstick WNBA cheap, smudges
Barry M lip paint WNBA drying
Collection 2000 lock n hold lipgloss WBA if i liked lipgloss
Lush snow fairy lip tint WNBA not very moisturising, colour doesn't suit me
+ few bourjois lipgloss and lipsticks that were just ancient i don't think they even sell them anymore

So I have a lips inventory now, splutter, in use.
    MAC Lipglass x3
    MAC Supreme Sheen
    L'Oreal Studio lipstick
    No 7 summer edition lipstick
    Dior Addict Gloss
    Cargo lip gloss
Models own lip & cheek tint x2
    Topshop Lip Polish
    Bloom lip pencil
    Lush sugar lip scrub
    Lush Pow Wow lip srub
    Vaseline/Carmex/Rose&Co x8

    Vitamin E lip balm

I'm sure there are a few more lurking somewhere but can't find them.
I'm really not that into lipgloss and lipstick, I tried to but I'm always either drinking or with OH so it just gets everywhere and smudges and there is no point! I'll stick to balm and scrubs.

    Hello All

No movers and shakers here so just popping in :D

It's all gone hectic here with DD moving back in  Looks like I'm gonna lose my xmas room :(:(:( we need the space to store the stuff we had stored in her room and she's gonna need her drawers back. Oh I could cry :( but never mind eh!?

Have been Boots mooching - eyeing up any contenders for the 75% sale - not much really takes my fancy but there's a few teenage gifty bits for the nieces so will keep fingers crossed they have some left :p I did look for a FCUK bag but couldn't find one (not for me - not a fan of the fragrance). Haven't bought a single thing so :T

Hope you all are well  DD out tonight so may lock myself in the bathroom for a few hours - OH can wee in the garden :rotfl: :rotfl:

TBS Peppermint Cooling Footlotion: WIBA? Not even if I get it for free. Smell wise it was okay but didn't really do anything and had started spluttering even when the bottle was more than half ful. It was very difficult to get out and I had to cut open the bottle today to get the last of it out.

I have this and quite like it... but I am not a very discerning customer! What kind of bottle was yours in, as it sounds very strange that it was difficult to get out? Mine is half full atm but because it's quite a runny consistency I have no trouble getting it out. Mine is just in one of those normal clear plastic bottles from TBS but it's from a gift set that is probably several years old :o so maybe they've changed the consistency.

UU a sample of Chanel eclat originel. WIBA? Difficult to say as am not really sure what it is.... just moisturiser? And is probably quite pricey...
Goals for 2012: finish course; get job; new pet; ring; house; car; holiday; learn to knit; size 10; finish '50 books to read before July 18': 17/50 ; savings account: £2450.68/£6000; improve my French and German.... how many can I achieve?! :D

  • ONE UU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    OPI Swiss Handwash Gel
WNBA - It was really really potent for an anti-bacteral gel, and sometimes it would leave flakes. Did not like that at all. So happy to have my first UU of 2012 woot woot!

    Hi rideo

My bottle was last year's. It was very thick, almost like gel but looked like a cream. May be I got a bad bottle

Anyway back to the point, I realised I was out of foot cream (well there must be some buried in the stash but...) and you will be very proud of me, using some of my 70 tonnes of hand cream on my feet as well!

I realised the other night that the tube of handcream I'd been using every night since just after xmas....is in fact foot cream!!! Now I'm thinking there's not really much difference between them - except perhaps footcream is thicker?
