I'm working my way through the BeautyBrains download now.
its really interesting! i hope it all saves you some money too by knowing what to look for.
although i will say, once you get into all this it does completely change your view on the whole industry. i don't believe any magical "reduces lines and wrinkles" "no more spots" "get curly hair with our shampoo!" "get 310% more volume with our mousse!" claims anymore and i think what they get away with claiming is just shocking.0 -
Liz Earle is definitely my favourite brand. I'm aiming to use up all the other stuff in my stash and only use liz Earle. It's the only brand of which I love every single product! Xx
Thats the aim I have too weesmiler - though not Liz Earle (never tried any of their stuff though,so could be swayed i guess!!) just what i need from a range that i love, rather than loads of bits and bobs from ranges i dont like.
Got to be better for my wallet than lots of useless stuff !Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
So many words of wisdom ladies. We can have a v successful year at this challenge at this rate!0

thats my aim too! she keeps giving hints that the make-up will be expanded this year too and i can't wait to try it. I'm itching to try the new hair mask but i have a half full one in the bathroom.0 -
I'd really like to find 'holy grail' products that I can stick too as well, they don't have to be the same brand but they could be. I'm irritated by having random things that I don't love hanging around. I'd love a small/concise collection of things I love and can trust!0

I read the BeautyBrains download and I'm still a bit confused! I'll probably have to read it again!0

maybe just try it one chapter a day and make sure you really understand that bit of it? i know its a bit confusing. it basically takes everything we thought was true and tell us it was pretty much all marketing hype and clever use of the english language. and thats before science gets involved!
understanding the ingredients takes a while. i'd just concentrate on the few you know you def don't want anywhere near you. then when you feel ready if theres something you see cropping up all the time, have a look and see if you can find out what it is and does.
it also takes some getting used to scrutinising everything you buy first. people think I'm mad when i just flip stuff over and go "no, no, no, hmmmm, maybe." I've had a few SA give me weird looks when i pick stuff up, put it back and do the same with a whole shelf of stuff.0 -
I think I will have to have another good read, I understand about the claims and the tricky wording it's the ingrediants I should avoid I'm a bit confused about.0

what are you confused about?
i know there are a million different versions of the stuff you should avoid, everyone has their own opinions and people vary from running from anything they didn't mix themselves to only using something certified organic to my stance of only being bothered about a few things.0
