I have so far resisted all of January but February might be an expensive month for me. My eyeshadow primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance) is about 3 years old and I would say there is about 1/5th left in the tube but it's started smelling a bit more plastic than usual so will need to replace. I've almost finished my daily sunscreen too and I can only get it on ebay. Then my eye cream is coming to the end of its life and the list goes on.... Still at least they are replacements and not additional IN's!

doesn't it annoy you that make up lasts so long esp when they tell you it only is good to use for a few months?.....so why don't they make smaller packs???????I don't think I ever use make up (except maybe foundation) up before I throw it esp eye stuff as can't be too careful with eyes.
you would have been proud of me today ladies....I had an email from Clarins...two days free delivery, then when i went to the website they had spend £60 get a £40 goody bag plus 3 samples......I almost weakend as wanted to try the new oil(£33:eek:) and there was ablusher that looked nice BUT thought about it and decided to save my money as altho the samples would be good for my holiday i did not need any more of their goody bags so in the end deleted the email:A.....I would not have done so before joining the challenge. It is so easy to buy online and does not feel like you are actually spending money.I know I was naughty buying the Occitanne stuff on monday but will use that quite quickly as it is more household stuff than personal.
thinking about more spending on things like hairdressing(just had a cut and wella treatment) and massages/facials/pedicures.....so hard to bend down to do my own:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:and less on products as have far too many in the stash!
  • Ok stick me on the naughty step again.... but it is payday :jand it was only a little spend!

I am so proud of me! Was in L'occitane, they had a special offer on (freebie with spend) and I just picked up my free hand cream and also got free tea bags from lush (in catalogue) and didnt get anything else

    /Smug!

(But then I found out I have cataracts (I'm 33... ) and spent £400 on new glasses with the new prescription and good colour change lenses and stuff)

    happy birthday littlepinkstars!!

If a product you really like is on a good offer, but you have loads of other stuff to use, would you buy it?
I ask because my favourite Body Shop butters are reduced from £12 to £3 and shower gel is half price, but I have plenty of body moisturisers and bought a load of shower gels in the boots sale! I know the Body Shop always have sales on so it'll probably be on an almost as good offer when I actually need them. I swear half of my problem is being scared of missing out on good offers!!

ps. bobbi brown concealer kit is on buyapowa and selling fast!

Hmmm...I think half my stash comes as a result of saying "But it's a REALLY good offer, and it's something I use!" can you work out roughly how long what you have will last you? If it's more than about three months, you can be reasonably certain of TBS having another offer just as good along before you need it.

If you love having those sorts of treatments Rosemary then how much nicer it is to spend the money on those than on "stuff" - always nice to be pampered eh!

As for the makeup expiry dates - we've debated this on here before I think haven't we. My view hasn't really changed much - so long as you obey the sensible hygiene rules - so no fingers in foundation bottles, use the wand provided, keep brushes clean etc - those dates are IMO flexible in the extreme. Mascara I am slightly more cautious about - but even that I'll cheerfully spit in the eye of the 3 month recommendation and double that to six months. Foundation I'll use until it runs out, and anything powder based you'll see soon enough if it's had it. I've had eyeshadows for years - and I mean literally YEARS, and they're still fine. (Justn a shame I didn't remember I had them before buying more, eh? Eyeshadows are definitely my "problem area!" :rotfl:

Adela sorry to hear about your eyes, remember though, they can do amazing things to sort them out these days. ((((hugs)))) regardless though.

Littlepinkstars Happy Birthday! I'm amazed though - no Lush stuff on your present list?! :D

MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick and Lipglass

I love MAC Viva Glam and lipglass - these are the exact shades I've got! I can only wear the lipglass indoors though - I've got long hair and the minute it's windy most of it is stuck all over my lips - not a good look:o

I had a bit of a lippy spree last year in a MAC store in the US - I was a bit freaked out to be attended to by a heavily made up male assistant but he was a complete star. He also told me that if you keep your empty lipsticks and return them you get one free for every ten empties. I thought it would just be an American thing but the sa at MAC in House of Fraser confirmed it.

You need to put [ / quote ] (without the spaces) after the bit you've quoted - that's what makes the quoted text appear in a box.

Thank you as you can see I have now managed to do that yippee

    Hi
    2 UU's to report

TBS Africa Spa Salt Scrub - quite liked it. Don't even know if they still make it. It has been sitting on the side of my bath for goodness knows how long.
Boots Soltan Once Takeaway Kids suntan cream - don't know if it works but been using it as body lotion as I didn't want to throw it away. Skin seems fine.
