No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January 2012 Challenge!

happy birthday littlepinkstars!!
If a product you really like is on a good offer, but you have loads of other stuff to use, would you buy it?
I ask because my favourite Body Shop butters are reduced from £12 to £3 and shower gel is half price, but I have plenty of body moisturisers and bought a load of shower gels in the boots sale! I know the Body Shop always have sales on so it'll probably be on an almost as good offer when I actually need them. I swear half of my problem is being scared of missing out on good offers!!
ps. bobbi brown concealer kit is on buyapowa and selling fast!
They do sound like bargains but if you have say a year's worth of shower gels already, then you would still be spending money you don't need to! I haven't been able to go into the BS for months because I know their offers will make my will power crumble!
January has been such a slow month on the toiletries front, I haven't had a UU in weeks and not even any splutterers on their way out. I must be in for a massive load of UU in February
:bdaycake:Happy birthday from me too littlepinkstars! I hope you've had a good day and been thoroughly spoiled! No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

2 UU:
avene moisturiser 5ml sample-WBA
quash hand sanitiser- WIBA? maybe- I liked that it was natural but it went off pretty quickly and it was hard to coat your hands in a couple of sprays as it dries so quickly. Have BS hand cleanse gels in the stash anywayToiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:130 -
Have some big pink stars for your birthday littlepinkstars
No more UU yet but I am now making a real effort to put on my hand cream a few times a day to try and shift my LHJ Cowshed. Like it but it is now over 2 years old (opened 10 months ago) so I don't want to waste it. Plus hands really seem to need it at the mo.
Oh and I am almost at my 50% UU - currently at 49.59% :TNo buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -

xoxo - oh dear, not again! :rotfl:
I tried the Vanilla Body Whip and it was lovely in texture and smell, but didn't rub in too well. My skin's had moisturiser on it every day for well over a year now, so that could be why. The only body souffle I've tried recently was FCUK's ... that was pure heaven.
An Avon UU - the Cinnamon and Orange Foot Works foot cream. This isn't cheap and the cream is a perfectly ordinary thick cream texture, but the smell is divine. Can't buy it again as it's a Christmas only special, I think, but definitely would buy.
On to a pot of Avon Sanctuary foot and elbow cream. After using up about ten pots of unloved OOD moisturiser on my feet, of varying descriptions last year, they won't know what's hit them with yet another 'actually made for feet' treatment.
Also UU'ed two Aveda 10ml shampoo/conditioner freebies from last year that I found in a drawer. Hair was ok, no more than that.
Given away - the tube of Pantene intensive conditioner that I trialled and an 2/3rds old style bottle (blue lid) of Pantene Pro-V Aqua Light shampoo.
I have 4/5ths of a bottle of the new style bottle left, ditto conditioner.
Even allowing for that going out, unless disaster strikes I won't be buying shampoo this year, I know I'll be requesting freebie samples.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Also managed to fit in a shoulder massage at the Decleor stand and a foot treatment at the Margaret Dabbs stand plus dabble in some new make up as well. There are some fab TSVs coming up this year....
Just want to set the record straight here - this is the first year I have had tickets in my own right and I won them in the prize draw they ran on the website. I have been before (7 years ago) but that was thanks to a friend of mine who had been invited. I do spend quite a bit but sadly not enough to get an automatic invite

That little haul looks gorgeous kiplingmonkey. I am jealous. I am using the Elemis Lime and Ginger hand lotion at the mo and it is lovely.Hi
How do you get the quotes in different colours as you can see I failed miserably xx
No UU's or INS to report since joining.
Anyone recommend a good night cream for someone 2 years short of 50!!. I am just about to finish a wise woman one from TBS -it was ok but nothing special.
Jarus Xx
Not a recommendation - I am using No 7 Night Cream at the moment and would not recommend. Although it's thick and creamy it's doing nothing for my skin. Have had to supplement it with an oil or serum. Smells chemically too.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I love elemis, pro collagen marine cream is yummy but... very pricey! I look out for special offers0 -
And - that Avon foot cream is still about at the moment, and keep an eye for it in the sale book too. It *is* a christmas special, but while there is still stock, they'll carry on selling it.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
