Rosemary - that thing you have posted on the House of Commons is utter nonsense I'm afraid- it's an email myth that has been doing the rounds since 1999. You might find it helpful to put snopes.com into your bookmarks so you can check this sort of thing before you post it.

    *Edited to add*

Snopes link if anyone is interested to know more about this particular hoax
sorry meant no offence.just saw it on fb and thought it was funny!

I Did!!! isnt it terrible that we can recognise each others purchases. Obviously not all of those are from there, I let the boys choose whatever flavours they wanted for their bath in the body shop last year and I think they spent £25 (thank goodness I dont have girls!) And I havent added some of those to the list (for example, earth lovers watermelon, Tommy's favourite, his favourite snack too (the fruit not the showergel lol) and I hate the smell of it!)

    I DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watched a little bit of the 8pm Smashbox hr (inbetween episodes of corrie) and bought NOTHING:D:D:D:D

Oh my word, I need a lie down. I would like to say I have turned over a new leaf and this is the new me. However, I suspect I'm just sickening for something:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Forgot to add - I really apperciate everyones support (and no doubt suprise!)

Well done - I had a sneaky peek on the website to see what was on but wasn't tempted. I used to like the Smashbox shows when Timber (in leather trousers) used to be the Smashbox presenter but he left about 7 years ago now...

this is a long shot When I was reading through this thread ( I think it was this thread) all the way back to 2010, i wrote down about a book that someone had recommended and then threw the bit of paper away (aaargh)
I can't remember who the book was by all I can remember was that I think the title began with "Lady"
Told you it was a long shot!!
    Jarus xx

Jarus - can you tell us anything about what the book was about? If you could remember anything about what it was about then we might be able to help.

I have another UU to report - Dove Firming Body Lotion - was quite impressed with this and will be looking into Dove body moisturisers when my stash has run out, although I do have a soft spot for the L'Occitane shea butter body lotion.

Am hoping to get my free hand cream tomorrow as there is a L'Occitane shop in Islington which will be on the way to the Design Centre where the QVC Beauty Bash is being held. Getting quite excited now and will be back tomorrow to let you know how it went..

Am also thinking maybe I need to buy a copy of Glamour to read on the train as I see that there is a coupon for a free L'Occitane lip gloss in it - ok I am off to the naughty step now
  • I have a UU and couple of INs to Report

    UU

MUA Lipgloss- My niece had given it to me as she didn't like the colour. I have used it as a everyday lipgloss and finally finished it. WNBA as the quality is poor. It is £1 for a reason. Started with an Estee Lauder one now

    INs

Dove intensive repair conditioner - I have bought it as it was half price in Tesco. I will take it with me when I go to Vegas in March as 200 ml will be sufficient for both of us for two weeks that we will be there.

Boots No 7 SPF 50 facial moisturiser - Again bought it for Vegas holiday as it was recommended here. Thanks to who ever recommended it. And I used the £5 off No 7 voucher so it cost me £6. It feels very light and doesn't leave the white film on the skin that other sunscreens do :j

As the above were needed, I am not sitting on the naughty step :p

    MQ
  • Kiplingmonkey - I loved Timber!!!! Met him once at one of the Beauty events, was soooo excited! Daniel was just not the same when he took over.

I have to say, I'm actually really glad that we are not 'face-to-face' friends, as I'm not sure we would be so supportive of each other. I have a feeling we may 'egg eachother on' into buying more:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
