            Afternoon all...
OMG i had a great nights sleep!! yay! I had prepared mysef to be woken all through the night because of toothy but he slept 7-6.30 which is the longest his ever gone! I feel refreshed!!
Olivia...girl after my own heart lol. Dont worry chat as much as you like I bought Owen one of those amber anklets about 2 months ago...at first i thought ohhh this is helping but then it stopped helping and a few weeks back. He must of lied on it funny and some how stretched the anklet as the elastic burnt a mark across his leg and since then i havent used it as the mark still hasnt gone!! Yep im also a big 2nd toy girl! Lucky i have been given so so much stuff from my brother now his two boys are 4 and 7. Ive got all there old toys, books, clothes, car seats and even cot, wardrobe an chest of drawers nursery furniture set!! Owen has done really well out of it and we have saved a small fortune.
I also love charity shops, i have two on the parade on shops which are a 2 minute walk from my house and im always in them unloading my old stuff and buying bits for Owen. He loves thats not my.... books there touchy feely ones and i like them too! lol. Well there £6 to buy i managed to buy 2 for £6 on play at christmas but since then ive been finding them in the charity shops for pence. Today i got one for 35p and it looks brand new!
I do exactly the same thing with the anti-bacterial spray lol. I havent tried boot sales yet but deffo will once they start up again.
I did try controlled crying when he was younger but i failed i couldnt do it he was crying so much he was doing the chokey sicky noise which freaks me out and then it would take me 15 mins to calm him down. That method did work for my nephews though.
I work as a chambermaid so hours are only 9am-2pm daily, i could possibly do an extra 4 or 5 hours on a sunday but only when they are busy. Thing is its the only day i get to see my OH as a family and do something for the day as he works mon-sat and normally doesnt finish work until 6pm so he gets in as im putting Owen to bed. But the odd sunday wouldnt hurt.

Woohoo for the great sleep! You must feel fab, I think you appreciate it even more when you have a bad sleeper.
I do a kind of controlled crying with Poppy at night but in the day she goes hysterical is weird! She is having her second nap of the day in her cot though , I did feed her to sleep but she slept for an hour and 10 mins earlier, amazing for her! Oops just jinxed it second nap only 20 mins.0

Well done Owen on a great nights sleep. I love it when they surprise you like that, he knew mummy needed a good rest
I know what you mean about the family time. We never get to spend time as a family and it is so important to do so. My OH has been applying for new jobs, hopefully they might be better hours. But then i am going to a job that will be worse hours, lol. But I only work for 3 days a week, so I can't complain and it will hopefully be a job that I enjoy ( I hate my job at the moment).
I am a total charity shop/carboot sale convert, they are so good. Makes me realise how much money I have wasted over the years with DD. We are doing our bit for charity and the environment too
I was lucky with the controlled crying, he never got really distressed. I know I would of given in if he had of done. And they soon grow out of the bad sleeping. DD would not go to sleep alone until she was 3, but now she goes to sleep fine. I don't have any problems with her. They soon wont want to get out of their beds, lol.
Hope little Owne lets you have another good nights sleep xxxJanuary GC £33/200

Im up at 3am...can only mean one thing...lol. He didnt eat his lunch or dinner yesterday. All I managed to get down him was a slice of toast and two little yogurts. So I think his woke as his hungry! While his drinking his milk thought id come on here on my phone quick.
I went to sainsburys last night and stocked up on bargins x4 4 packs of johnsons wipes at £3.22 each. About 8 jar foods at 60p each. Apple crisps, baby biscuits, cow & gate fruit pouchs 4 packs for just £1.09. I got allsorts that I normally get him. I was also naughty and got him a pair of joggers for £3 though!
I paid £27 and saved £15! im hoping they will last him the month and that I can make less trips to the supermarket and eat more from my freezer, so spend less on food.
hopefully I can go back to sleep soon as Thursdays is the busy day at work. XMake £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750

            Evening,
Feeling very tired today, was busy at work. Then came home to a clingy lil monkey again who is still not eating his lunches or dinners! I managed to get some dinner down him and a banana.
Ive done the food diary for today...its alot of work for £10 but its £10 i need!
OMG who watched One Born every Minute last night?? The girl that was silent...that was just weird for me to watch!
But what upset me was the lady in the red who was having her second and was worried as her first was a tough birth..38 hours and forceps. Well when that baby got stuck with its head half out and the midwife hit that emergenecy button my heart was in my mouth!!!
It made me think alot about if i would want to ask for a c-sec for the next when the time comes. I had an awful birth...39 hours...(34 hours from 4cm dilated until he was born.) I pushed for 1 1/2 hours was taken to theatre had forceps which failed then vontousse which failed so had an emergency c-sec. The moment we went into theatre it just became a nightmare for me was a horrible horrible experince.
For about 4-5 months i was really quite depressed about the whole experience as not only was it horrible for myself but a few hours after owen was born he had to have pain killers as they hurt his head so badly from the vontousse which had been sucked onto his head in two different places. He had two massive swelling on his head which didnt go down until he was 4 months old. From birth to 4 months he could only have his head on one side when he lay down because of the swellings. And now he has a mishapen head which ive been told will never change now
Having a C-sec i just feel like i missed out as i didnt get to hold him straight after he was born and feel that rush. So i had said to my OH the next i will try for natural again even though because i had C-sec i know i could opt for another. But after seeing last nights OBEM im going to ask for C-sec for the next. As Owen got stuck, went back to back, i was told hence why he wouldnt come out even after all the pulling. What if that would happen again?? What if my tunnel is mishapen? I couldnt go through that again!!
We did want to start trying for another end of this year or early next year. But now with all the money worries im not sure it will ever happen.:(Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750

getting back to the money side of things im setting myself a budget for food of £35 a week so £140 a month, this will include nappies etc.
Ive decided to sell the fridge freezer which we have in the garage and replace it with a stand up freezer. Second hand of course! I need freezer space badly. Then i can batch make and buy reduced foods to freeze. ATM i cook alot of dinners for Owen and freeze them and they are taking up aot of our freezer space.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Evening Maria,
your poor little man and his teeth I hate it when they are is so much pain and there is not much that you can do about it. My LO has had a bad cough since Sept and he has had 5 course of antibiotics which nearly get rid of the cough, but once he stops taking them it comes back. He has had two chest xrays and the first one showed an infection and the second one came back clear, but he is still coughing?!?! The doctor has given him an inhaler too which doesn't work (he is wheezing a lot of the time now!) He gave him the brown inhaler today after I insisted taht something be done. I hate hearing him coughing and wheezing so much. But the doc's arent doing much, but I don't know where else I could go to get advise I hate it when they are is so much pain and there is not much that you can do about it. I can't watch OBEM now i'm not pregnant, it makes me sad, lol. Sorry to hear that you had an awful birth. I had a bad labour/birth with my DD, 31 hours, all the drugs going, cut open, ventous delivery, bled for 12 weeks after the birth, stitches came open, etc, etc. How I was not scarred for life I don't know. I was so scared of my labour with DS after what I had gone through. I can't tell you how different it was. Contractions started at 5pm on Sunday, got to hospital at 8pm and delivered him at 10.45pm, 13 minutes of pushing and he was out. I only had gas & air and pethedine. As silly as it sounds, it was sooo painful, but such a magical experience at the same time. I can't wait to do it again, only reason we can't yet is because we are getting married in April.
I have been putting a few bits on FB to sell and if everyone comes tomorrow like they said they will, I will be making just over £20 Still have lots more stuff to put on too. So would def recommend putting a few bits on to sell. Saves all the hassle of postage/post office with eBay. Still have lots more stuff to put on too. Your poor LO having a cough for so long Do you have a walk in centre near you? Alot of people i know go to our walk in centre if there doctors dont listen or help them. And they seem to do a much better job than the doctors surgery! Do you have a walk in centre near you? Alot of people i know go to our walk in centre if there doctors dont listen or help them. The birth of your second LO sounds much better! I know our first experiences were rough but it dont put us off wanting another LO! I'd love to think my second if we are lucky enough to fall again when the time is right would be nice and simple like your second but i seem to have bad luck with pregnancies and birth lol. I'd love to experience a natural birth and have that bond straight away. And not get looked down at by other horrible mums that think less of me that i had a emergnancy C-sec..even though i went through all the pain and pushing!
Well done on your FB sales, yes that is true saving money and time on not having to send the items. And the hassle!
