Morning,
I didnt get to list anything on Ebay at the weekend
and now i have time today but i dont really want to list them for 99p as i know they wont make much and probably even go for just 99p.
I did get to town and pick up my Bhs xmas order that i got from the sales. Got some lovely bits there for birthday and xmas presents. While i was in town i popped into card factory and picked up two birthday card and OH's valentines card for just under £3. Then i went to poundland and picked up an 8 pack of spoons and forks for Owen, a metal with plastic handle set also for him and two winnie the pooh bowls. So spent £4 there. And £2 on the car park! i may aswell of had the Bhs order delivered to me!
I cooked up the old spuds made mash and froze it in small portions for Owen. Today i plan on making a batch of shpeherds pie for us and a portion for Owen.
I also need to call Child tax credits to get that form today while there open. I will wait till this afternoon when i go to my mums so she can play wth owen. Anyone else find it really hard to make a phone call now they have a little one?..:rotfl::o
Another thing i need to set up is an account for Owen as my OH's nan has given us a cheque for his christmas pressie but he doesnt yet have an account! Im not sure if i can open one online or if i have to go into a branch for a childs account??
I paid my CC bill £500 which has only left me with £460 in my account. Im trying not to panic but i know my car insurance will be about £350-400 next month alone.:(Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -

Just having a lunch break while DS is asleep.
We popped to Asda in the car as needed nappies, while i was there i picked up another x2 comfort, x2 cuppa soups, x2 baby food jars and margarine.
Cost before coupons £17.54
Cost after coupons: £14.50
I hate buying baby food in jars as there 96 odd pence! But there convient for me when i go to work for my mum and OH's mum to give DS for lunch. As i know he will eat them, where as if i make him a sandwhich sometimes i get home from work and my OH's mum will say he wouldnt eat the sandwhich..when i know full well he likes eating them! She just cant be bothered to sit with him while he eats it as it can take a while.
I have had loads of problems with how my OH's mum looks after him when i go to work! although just recently as his getting easier to look after shes doing a better job.
But i would come home from work and be so angry when she would say for example...i dont think his very well. I would ask did u take his temp? ...no...did you give him some calpol?...no. GRRRRRRRR. And once i got home and he was asleep in his buggy and she said im sitting out here with him as his not strapped in as when i tried to strap him in he cried. ......yeah and??? let him cry! Id rather him get upset than fall out of his buggy.
Also many problems when he was younger with putting him down for a nap....again she didnt want to upset him so she wouldnt put him down the whole day and i would come home to a very over tired angry baby! Which would then mucked up his whole routine
Sorry duno where that rant came from! lol. Just wish i could be a SAHM although it does do me good getting out the house and having adult convo.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Hopefully they will have another free listing weekend soon for you.
I find it really tricky to have a phonecall too,Poppy likes to pull the phone out the wall while i am trying to talk.
I think with the childrens account you might have to go in because i'm guessing you need to show birth certificate. Not certain though.
Sounds a bit annoying about your OH's mum, is more difficult to say something to family sometimes i think.
I am a bit worried about Poppy starting nursery as she feeds to sleep a lot and won't sleep in her cot but a lot of people have told me she will just fit into nursery routine but am trying to get her to nap in cot to get used to it.0 -
Ahh thats what i thought about the opening the account, thats why i keep putting it off as i never go into town anymore (well apart from 3 shops yesterday lol) perhaps i could open one at one of the small branches near my parents house.
I hate having to tell my OH about what shes done, and most weeks she does something that rubs me up the wrong way! Its also hard because we dont pay her so shes doing us a big favour. But i do tell me OH and he does tell her..but it goes in one ear and out the other with her!
We had the same problem wendz with Owen not wanting to sleep in his cot for daytime naps or night time actually lol. Im looking forward to putting him in a proper bed.
How do they do nap time in a nursery? Is there a seperate room where they put them down?? How many naps per day is she on now?
Owen just has one nap now at 11am normally..all depends what time he wakes up in the morning. And 8/10 we will take him out in his pram for a walk to get him to sleep. Ive given up putting him down upstairs as both nanny's break the routine of putting him down upstairs to sleep so now i dont bother either. Plus his blackout blind is still waiting to be put back up since it fell off the wall and its impossible to get him to sleep when its daylight in the room.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! That is tricky when you aren't paying her but at the same time she should listen to what you say as you are his Mum and obviously know best.
The nursery have a 0-1 room and a 1-2 room. In the 0-1 room they have cots and in the 1-2 room they sleep on mats. She normally has 2 naps a day but last few days have struggled, yesterday she napped for 10 mins the whole day! Today she nearly fell asleep on the way back from baby group but wouldnt sleep when we got in and is still awake and not even grumpy. She has never slept a lot in the day though.0 -
That's rubbish Maria, i completely understand where you are coming from. I would hate leaving my little one with my OH's parents, they are so neat and strict, poor bubba wouldn't be happy. OH has a slight OCD because of them, everything has to be in order. Thankfully they live a 1500 miles away so I don't see them often:).0

Wendz- So there all in the same room together sleeping? awww! Ahh it sounds like poppy and owen are two peas in a pod! His never wanted to sleep in the day. But always got grumpy as you could see he was tired. i think we have got very active babies that want to learn learn learn!....(and be nosey and stay up not wanting to miss out) :rotfl:
Kavics- haha i could only wish his parents lived that far away...:rotfl:no only joking there great they love owen to bits. I just wish they would listen to me and no spoil him to doing whatever he likes already! Having an OCD OH cant be too bad...at least he must get stuff done;)
Back to work 2moz. I think im in for a rubbish night though, im sure owen is near to cutting a tooth he done an awful stinky yellowy poop today which normally come around the time his cutting teeth. Been non stop chewing on things and a little clingy. I gave him some calpol and cal gel before bed.
I was thinking of listing some bits on ebay tonight but then thought will anybody be buying anything at this time of year?? Perhaps i should hang onto the items for a little longerMake £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750
