Sad news this morning, my staffy of 10 years had to be put down :( On friday he wasnt too good and yesterday was in pain coughing up blood and clots. So this morning my dad took him to the vets for me at 11am. I havent heard back off my dad yet, i know his bringing my dogs body home to bury in there garden so perhaps his busy doing that. Very sad times, although i know its for the best.

Owen went back to sleep at 6.45 and didnt wake until 9am! his never woke so late before...

Also i saw this little bargin on hotukdeals this morning so have reserved one to pick up to go into my birthday/xmas present box for one of my nephews a little hand cam corder for only £12.95

Its a !!!! way to start the new year :( cant stop thinking of my dog now. I went over my parents and Owen was calling out dog and looking about for him where he normally sleeps.

Ive got to go out and spend a bit of money today on a new printer as mine broke it was only a year old HP photosmart one, they sent me loads of emails on how to fix it i spent £20 on more ink as they said do an ink clean which should fix it instead it used all the ink of the new cartridges which actually cost more than the printer!! So ive just reserved an Epson at Argos to go and pick up in a bit. I cant live without a printer...too many bargins with coupons to miss out on! I havent be able to print for 3 months now. Also need to pick up some food for owen at boots while im at the retail park.

The blind wasnt a sucess my OH drilled new holes and the wall just crumbled away again. So we're going to have to cut the blind down and fix it to the window sill which is wood. Our windows are very very long width ways and the blind alone cost £60!

    Hi there,
Just thought I'd say 'hi' as i've discovered your thread. I'm sorry to hear about your dog x.

I have a 3 1/2 month baby, and am quite interested in saving money where things like nappies and wipes etc are concerned.

The baby box for your friend is a great idea. My SIL did this for me with things like sponges, shampoos, nail clippers, dummies etc and it was a godsend - especially as this is my first baby and I had no idea what I would need. Recently I bought a starter kit that had a damaged box so got it for half price and inside there were about £10 of money off coupons too for things like baby bath / shampoo etc. I love to look around for things like this to make funds stretch a bit further!!! Also, I have coupons for every type of nappy available, and haven't paid full price for a pack yet! I love the feeling that I'm not just blowing all my money on nappies and can buy other things with the rest of my money instead!

I'm going to subscribe to your thread now - it's nice sharing money saving tips and ideas with other mums.

    x

    Hi Birdseed
thanks for popping by! Yep they may be little...well mine not so little anymore lol but they cost alot! And moneysaving helps. Or baby tips:D

Have all you mummies registered with the asda club online? As at the end they let you print a coupon for a free newborn strarter kit with a hat, wipes and a pack of size 1 nappies. And then inside the back of the box are 2 coupons for money off size 1 or 2 huggies and little swimmers nappies. You could always give away the nappies and keep the wipes...every little helps! Now i have a new printer i can print another 2 off with a different email, keep the wipes for myself and use the nappies for the nappy cake im going to make for my friend :D (once you have printed one coupon click the back button and it will print another or click it didnt print properly. which prints another with different codes on it so its not a dup)....and even better if you wait for Asda to do there baby week they reduce the starter kit to £2.50 and the coupon is worth £5 so you get £2.50 off your other shopping! :D Phew ive wrote an essay but hope that helps someone!

Thanks hiddenidentiy, im ok i know it was definetly for the best. Just a bit down in the dumps i wont be greeted by him when i go round anymore.

I spent £65 today!!! £40 in the printer (£30 was xmas money) and then £20 on face cream and under eye bag cover up lol then a couple biscuit packs for owen.

Right im off to print coupons then to bed. Night all x

    Hi there,

Thanks, I'll print this voucher as I'm running out of fabric softener.

I've joined every baby club possible - Tesco, Sainsbury's, Boots, Asda, Huggies, Apitmal, Pampers etc etc etc. I will only buy nappies when I have a money saving voucher and have been known to spend ages in the supermarket aisles with a calculator to work out which poo-catcher will be cheapest! My friend had twins 4 years ago and said she looked out for nappies at 10p each as she thought they were cheap - I've not paid more than 6p for a nappy yet. Before the baby was born I had almost 1200 nappies in different sizes!!! (The only problem was that he was small so I actually had to buy more, tiny, nappies before I could dip into my stock of them!!!).

Also, I have bought nappies and wipes off ebay - I think I have an obsession with them!:rotfl:

The weather is terrible though isn't it - I keep thinking my windows might blow through .

Haha, im a bit like that with wipes, i stock up when sainburys has there 1/2 price on wipes or baby event. 4 packs of johnsons wipes are normally reduced to £2.

I also had a mountain of huggies free nappies for the first couple of months but now i buy Asda's own little angels nappies as they have a great fit and are x2 pack for £10. Huggies and pampers always leaked for us.
I also down graded to Asda's little angels cream x2 pots for £2.50. I love the little angels range now! ;)
