So....the best part of today so far for me was waking up and for a split second, thinking it was Friday. The realisation that it was infact the weekend was awesome. Normally this happens for me the other way round:D
Saturday's plan of action:
Get up
Sort girls' room (with them) Christmas presents need to be put in a permanent home
10 mile cycle ride with DH and friends
Visit more friends and go for walk with kids while DH sorts their pc
Small top up shop (sticking rigidly to list)
oh and make shopping list for the above shopping trip:rotfl:
Come home after dropping DD at sleep over
Have dinner
Chill
Sounds like a plan to me.........:)
Have a great Saturday peeps:TEverything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end

Pleased to have acomplished nearly all the jobs on the list.:)
The only one I didn't manage was the shopping. Was a bit of a rush after the bike ride/lunch/shower, to get to friends' on time, resulting in no list for the shop. As it turned out we stayed longer than intended while DH was trying to sort their pc, so we ran out of time to go to the shop without making DD late for her sleep over. Oh well, I guess it means I didn't make up the list as I went along. That would have been a complete disaster:eek:Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end

Up and about nice and early, giving me plenty of time to plan the shopping list I failed to do yesterday. Gonna try to be organised with meals today.Think I will cook the chicken this morning rather than before dinner. This is so I can pick it in advance. This will give me meat for dinner and enough spare to make a curry for Mon. I will boil up the bones to make soup, which we'll have on Tuesday. I normally make a chicken do 3 meals but don't ever make them all on the same day. I think if I can manage to do this today, I can dook the braising steak in advance tomorrow ready for a pie on Wed.
Ultimately, this will give me more time to spend on here this week before DH gets home from work. I have to confess I have become slightly addicted to these forums. They and the money saving advice have slightly taken over every aspect of my life. While essentially, this is no bad thing, I find I am so engrossed I can't even answer DH when he asks me something and as a result we have been spending most evenings this week at opposite ends of the sofa on separate laptops! I have to say he's fully behind the initiative but do agree it has become a bit over the top. I know how to proceed with my DFW journey and the end date is approx August, therefore maintaining current levels of time spent on here is not viable. I will cut back, I will cut back ;O)
Jobs for Sunday:
Top-up-shopping
Dog walk
5 mile cycle ride with family
Cook roast
Ironing/laundry
School/work/house weekly prep
Have a great Sunday :O)Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end

As I read this my DH asked me something and I just ignored him!! I have answered now because he was offering me a coffee :T
I too am addicted, a bit more of a long slog than August this year but I am determined to live by the ethos of this forum so I need to keep dipping in! Must tear myself away to do some ebaying though...

Hehe I'm pretty addicted as well, you know it's bad when you dream about finding lots of 20p coins in M&S...
I'm going to do some batch cooking today (if I can ever finish this fleabaying) it frees up so much more time don't you think?
Hope you have a great day xDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Well chuffed with all that was acomplished today even if I didn't manage to stick to the stupid shopping list. Took DH along so he could pick out some more interesting packed luch stuff and ended up spending about £80:eek:
It's not as bad as it sounds tho, believe me we spent ages in there going through everything, making sure it was the best deal:T We now have goceries to last til almost the end of the month.
We came back and did another 10 mile bike ride, this time with the kids, so the tag-along on the back of my bike helped me burn off a few extra calories;)
Had the roast for dinner, made the curry with left over meat and stock from the bones. Also batch cooked some fresh ravioli and sauce which has made 4 meals for DH to take to work. Some has gone in the freezer to break it up a bit:)
Managed to get a basket of ironing done and cleaned the bathrooms, which wasn't even on the list!! DH made packed lunches so I grabbed a quick shower and thought I'd post up my comings ans goings before retiring for the evening.
Hope you guys have had a good weekendEverything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end

Well done HP that's an enormous amount to have achieved in one day. I'm really impressed by the bike ride, 10 miles is ages!
What interesting packed lunch things did DH decide upon? I'm always looking for inspiration.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Morning all, running a bit late to jot the meal ideas down but will do later. Just wanted to wish you all a good day.
Ps More exercise needed as this pair of work trousers are a tad on the tight side ;O)Everything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end

ARRRRRRRGHHHH was really looking forward to getting on here this eve, been thinking about it on and off all day, sad I know!
However, I've only just sat down after all the comings and goings and am too tired to concentrate properly.:( As always, I get all the essential bits done and then run out of 'me time'....still got some stuff to do too:( despite preparing today's diner last night?!
Will post meal ideas up as soon as I get chance. Please dont think I'm trying to create suspense, they really aren't that exciting:rotfl:
One good thing that's come out of today...DH left his season ticket on the train last Thurs. He bought a daily ticket Fri (Using his Nat Rail compensation vouchers) while waiting to see if it was handed in..... It wasn't handed in but as he's on a system somewhere, he was able to pay £20 for a replacement season ticket/photocard (also using comepnsation vouchers) Now he's sorted the season ticket he's had the £46 daily ticket refunded in cold, hard cash!! :money:
Well chuffed:D
Off to make packed lunches with DH, then shower and bed. Nite niteEverything is ok in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end
