Happy to report all jobs ticked off today incluing all the ironing, no mean feat. Have even managed to get back into work mode; packed lunches made, tomorrow's dinner defrosting, book bags and p.e kit ready to go etc etc. Looking forward to the routine again if I'm honest, it's when the real MS work begins, can't wait to get on it.......

Back to work for me today and so relieved my work clothes still fit, just.

Household is on schedule which is a good start.

Have found 250 pennies in my work bag so that's going into the 'Every Pennie's a Prisoner' fund.

    Have a good day all.....

Home from a good first day back at work, to a cuppa and glowing log burner, thanks to DH working from home today. Despite the yawns, which I'm confident I managed to stifle at the appropriate times and virus thingy, which I lovingly accepted as a cast off from DD's, all is well. Even found 4 pennies at work for the pot!

Great news on the DFW front...DH braved applying for a 0% card the other day which we were reluctant to do due to recent refusal. Our credit score and income is good but we have a number of debts, with relatively high balances. Although the repayments are manageable, it doesn't look great on paper. He was accepted with what looks to be around a 4K limit. This will make so much difference to our snowball calc and DFD as we'll be able to repay at the same rate but clear the balance sooner, saving loads in interest, even with the transfer fee.

I know I won't be satisfied until the card is in hand ready to make the transfers but it's made my day.

Hope you've all had a good day.....

Congratulations on your LBM hp and for DH getting accepted on a 0% card. I'd love to get one myself but can't be trusted just yet and I have a default eep.

Subscribing and looking forward to the journey.

Hardly any sleep due to the storms and really wishing I had such a thing as a day off. Oh well, onwards and upwards, maybe literally in this wind....

Got my snack and lunch sorted so will defo make this a NSD.

    Have a great day all.

Not a bad day considering the lack of sleep. Jobs for today are all done. Checked the roof slates from last night's storm, fortunately no damage. Topped up chicken's food, water and bedding. Want them to be cosy incase of another rought night. Did some laundry, delegated a couple of chores to the kids and prepped dinner. All done by 6pm, lovely!

After school activities don't resume until next week so I'm making the most of not having to rush around. DH is at drill night for his second job this eve so my plan is to get the younger two off to bed and settle myself on here to pick up more tips and play around with my snowball calc to include the 0% card if/when it arrives......

Up an' at 'em...ok, so I'm back in bed with a cuppa checking these forums cos I figure that's as good a start to the day as any. DH went to work slightly earlier (left season ticket on train last night and needs to sort) so I have gained some bonus minutes.

    Main jobs for today:
    Go to work/come home
Check for DH passport photo for replacement photo card
Call Tesco to check DD new mobile tariff in place
    Light fire
    Make dinner
    Chill

Hope to manage the last one by 6.30........

    Have a good day :O)

Have a good day, don't forget the coming home bit! :D

DH got paid from his new job today (thank goodness) but I suspect they are emergency taxing him as the amount is not 2 months worth of salary even after tax (they didn't pay him last month as he started just after the money run so they said) so it's going to be a nervy month here wondering whether we have enough money in the kitty for the DDs! I'm going to have to sell the buggy, can't afford any more children anyway

Good idea about the diary, I might try it.

Luckily SpagBol, I didn't forget to come home yay!...Hope you can sort OH pay/tax, it can't be nice to start a new job not knowing what the correct salary is, especially as you have to cover the DD's.
