    i've ported twice now and i've phoned the provider (not the retailer) after i'd received the phone and ported fine within 10 days, hope this helps ;)

    But with this deal, as explicitly stated on the CPW website, you need to port at the time of signing up (which you can only do by phoning them up and losing the Quidco cashback) - the phone comes out with a blank SIM (ie no number) - as o2 CPW are managing this, it does clearly state you will not be able to port later. You therefore risk losing the cashback (and the number you want to port) if you do not follow the instructions.

  • Carphone Warehouse are doing this deal...

    It equates to £35 for a whole year's line rental and going through quidco gets you £37 back, so £2 profit overall!

    You get a Nokia 6822, 400 any network anytime minutes plus 100 free texts each month... the ultimate £35 cost is saved with all those savings you make on free mobile calls!

    Only issue is you must £35/month, refundable by cashback. Usually, these deals are a bit dodgy when offered by small mobile phone shops that disappear after a few months not paying back a penny, but that's unlikely with the CPW...

    O2
    O2 £35 12mth
    400 mins & 100 txts a month
    11 Months FREE line rental

    * Automatic savings on international calls
    * 100kb inclusive Active or i-mode
    * 1 mth rollover of unused mins
    * Free Voicemail
    * One mths FREE insurance

    £35.00 (equivalent to £0.00 during offer period)
    £FREE
    £385
    12 months

    I was just wandering if the 35 quid included VAT. if so. then a good deal which i'll consider entering.
  • vat included. phone should reach unlocked like mine did.

    just so you know the phone is absolutely pants: bulky, basic and the keyboard is gimmicky - predictive text is faster for most. the attraction should be getting £385 back from £425 worth of rental, with savvy types being able to make that back too, as explained earlier...
  • Have just ordered one and had the email to say it is out of stock - will see what happens.

    Thanks to OP, needed a new phone for DH - if it is unlocked does this mean he will be able to use his TMobile sim in there as well as the O2 one (obviously not at the same time!)?

    Thanks again

    Yes - unlocked means you can use pretty much any SIM card (apart from 3 Three as this isn't a 3g phone).

    If you missed this offer and prefer CPW for cashback deals, you can get a LG P7200 on the same tariff on 10 months free/12 months contract (£37 cashback from Quidco, therefore £33 for the year - £20 trade in for old handset, £13 for year):

    http://shop.carphonewarehouse.com/pay-monthly/lg/p7200/o2/

    Above assumes that you don't transfer a number in as you then lose Quidco cashback as you have to complete the deal over the phone.

    Mobileshop, e2save, OSPS and others have 10/11/12 month free deals on 12 month contracts at the moment.

    Just received my phone. I thought the offer was too good to be true but it obviously wasn't!
