I'm liking your dreams! I've been doing a lot of the same this weekend....dreaming about bigger house (our family home) no debts, nice couple of holidays a year and so on....like you say we can dream and eventually i'm sure with determination we will get there.
I'm trying to stay focused on wedding for now but can't help but get excited about perhaps starting our own family somewhen down the line

ooh an ipod touch cake. Pics please.....
That sounds like a lovely dream to have. Re 3rd child. There are 9 years between my brother and I and we were really close as kids. As there was such a big age gap there was no sibling rivalry at all. My sister and I have only 2 1/2 years between us and we faught like mad as kids. If i's right for you to have a big gap then it's right. There are 4 years between my two and that was what was right for us. Am secretly wanting a 3rd but can't see it happening in reality.
I hope you get your dream xGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

choc addict - your wedding is so close now
I know!!!! I'm really getting excited now. Did loads of wedding bits on day off yesterday
I agree that if it's right for a big age gap, then it's right....I have no idea really as don't have little ones but we do hope to start a family (all being well) and ideally we'd like two....now i'm 34 this year so we'd better get a move on but at same time I want a gap between them.....guess it's just whats best for you at the time/circumstances.
Is there not even the slight possibility of a 3rd Starnac???0 -

Only if I didn't have to be pregnant :rotfl: I hate being pregnant and I don't seem to be able to get them out all that well. (both children were overdue, DD had problems and was born blue  and I had to be induced with DS so medical intervention on both)Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Sounds like a lovely dream to me. I don't think the age gap will matter. I have friends with big age gaps with siblings and they get on great.
I would like 3 kids in the longrun but going to be at least 3 years between first two as want to get wedding done first!0 -
My ipod cake

Pretty chuffed with it. There are quite a few things i would love to have done better but he is only 10 so will be pleased with it
Such a shame about your pregnancies Starnac. My pregnancies were ridiculously good - no sickness or anything! I was induced with both of them though which wasn't the best thing.
I think big age gaps can work. Though it would get to a point where i would feel like we were a one child family once my 2 were mid teen and don't want to do too much with us. It would be perfect if we could afford to have 2 more kids then i could have them closer in age. We are never going to be able to afford 4 children though!
In my selfish view i love how easy my kids are now. At 9 and 6 i haven't got to watch them. We get lie ins and they can enterain themselves. It is easy to go out as no minds babysitting older kids!
But i still find myself wandering round the baby isle at boots just to look at the little baby jars, bottles and bibs etc.................Orange Fairy

wow that cake is fab. you are so talented. you do make me laugh though when you post pictures of fantastic cakes and then go "it's obviously not perfect......" funny how your worst critic is yourself!!
I have to admit I found it a bit of a struggle adapting to a helpless baby after a very independent 4 year old never mind a 9 year old!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Well hello diary peeps!
It has been ages since i have been on my diary!
Thanks for your comment on my cake Starnac- i am my own worst critic!
I didn't have internet for 3 days which was rubbish! This meant a purchase of a new £78 router! Luckily OH got it through work as payment for his cleaning after work so didn't cost us money as such.
Things are going okay. Paid my Mum her money. Well in a round abouts way OH has. My brother owed us £30 which should have gone to OH. Though i told him to give it to my Mum instead. Then we have bought £20 worth of presents for my DD1 for my mum to give her- therefore £50 paid back!
Also OH told me he has paid back his Mum for our new dining table. I was going to use paypal money to do that.
Got to keep an eye on spends coming up. We have a meal out with OH's family next weekend to pay out for. DD1's birthday on Monday. She is 9
where has my baby gone ?! We decided against an ipod touch until xmas. She is having a camera instead. I need to get OH to pick it up tomorrow! I usually pay council tax so get feb and march free and feb council tax money always bought her birthday present. But we changed over and pay £125 of the rent now and he pays the council tax! This means i don't get 2 free months a year! So i need him to buy her present!
Our big expense is her party. She wants to do paint a pot with 7 friends. I have priced this up and it will cost £96 (£12 each!!) This is quite a lot but she hasn't had many parties over the years as her birthday is usually in the holidays and usually we 'cheat' and take her out for the day. So i have booked Paint-a-pot and decided we will just do it. Half our paypal money will cover it which is good.
Also we have father in laws 60th, Sister in laws 30th and Brother in laws 30th with in 2 weeks of each other in April!! Need to plan presents in advance or April is going to be ridiculously expensive!!
I also have been invited to a Birmingham 'meet'. Ladies i have known for about 5 years as an online group as we have the same age children. I have met a few of them before but not all of them! There are about 50 of us. 15 are going to this meet. I have been offered a free room in the travelodge they are all staying in as someone couldnt go. Traveling will be £74 on the train or £55 on the coach. But then there is a meal and drinks so i am looking at about £100 for the weekend! Still not sure whether to go or not!
I have been a decluttering queen this week (it's my week off) Both kids bedrroms are completely done. Just the towels to go through in the bathroom. In a min i am going to finish the kitchen. I have sorted loads of it this week. Just the under sink cupboard and 2 drawers and there is nothing out of place or that shouldn't be there in my kitchen! :T I have also gone over all my declutter areas to check there are still need and decluttered
Off to a meal tonight for my Nan and Grandad's 50th wedding anniversary. They are paying for 34 of us! My present is an MSE one which has taken a lot of time. I have scanned their wedding photos and lots of family photos onto a sd card to put in their new digital photo frame that my mum has bought them!
Need to get productive with debt paying soon. Need to ring up to find card balance to transfer to a 0% - bit worried about how much is on there after xmas and wedding costs though! Spiralled a bit i think!
Right off to do housework and declutter and maybe do a mealplan for next week.Orange Fairy
