Hey Brizzle and Wannabee.
I have been a bit slack. Things have been busy and we have have trouble with our internet.
Nothing much changed at the mo. OH still on 3 days a week. He has this week off and then doesnt work mon, tues, weds so he isnt back until thursday NEXT week! Slack!! lol
I have had a bit of a fall out with work this week. I work in a small office for my Uncle. My Aunt does the accounts from home and since buying a horse has been sooo slack with her work. It was my week off last week and i volunteered to go in for 3 hours to send out customer statements. I told them it would be tuesday so i went in and found out my Aunt hasnt even finish feb accounts (3 weeks late!) So i was told i would have to come in another day!!!!! Umm no this was a favour. So i kind of slammed the door on the way out and then my Aunt phoned me on weds and had me in tears as she was so mean. Told me if i was unhappy i should find another job - they assume i wont do this as i like the flexibility. They would be stuffed as no one would put up with them like i do. My Aunt can be a right cow
I am back to work on weds after my week off and not looking forward to it. I now want to tell them to stuff the extra day a week as i don't want to feel indebted to them. We can just about cope without it. But am i cutting off my nose to spite my face to throw away £200 a month. Not sure what to do for the best.
For the first time ever though i am about to start looking for another job! How blooming great it will feel to hand my notice in! There are 2 jobs in the paper i would like to go for.
In my job i have fantastic flexibility so i don't miss anything with the kids and my DD1 gets lots of migraines and i have to pick her up from school sometimes in the day and work is just 5 mins from school and i can then work another day to make up the time.
The downside is my job is far too easy. I am more of an office Administrator with a bit of accounts thrown in however i am AAT trained and really want a job with is more accounts involved. I also work with one of the most hormonal men on the planet. He is sooo rude to customers and is so grumpy. We treat him like a tantruming toddler half the time and just have to put up with him! It is draining
I have until Weds to decide what i want to do as i am meant to be starting my thursdays this week. **Big sigh**
Nothing much happening. OH has had his CC accepted and we have moved £2k to his 0% deal. This helps a lot.
Checked my loan balance today . £4413 down to £4266. So in June it will be sub £4k :T
Off to play some board games with the kids
Need to start getting MSE motivated again as the end of this month will be our first poor pay check!
One more week until we lose our sky

Sounds like a horrible situation at work especially as it is family. Good luck with your decision about whether to look for a new job.0

Hey all.
Been a funny couple of weeks.
Went into work and my Uncle said 'in light of what happened last week (i.e. I slammed a door) I would like you to make up any extra hours you need to between 9-5.
They are being petty to display their 'power'. I finish at 3pm on a weds to pick up DD's from school. To do this they have always allowed me to work extra early on a Monday or finish late on a Friday. Now they are stopping this because i slammed a door and brought up the fact i wasn't happy the accounts weren't on time. I am peeved off beyond belief that they are being so horrible.
I am not doing the Thursdays as I do not want to be in there another day a week. I would prefer to save more money on food.
Right other than that we are getting prepared for this paycheck coming up which will not be pretty!
- OH paid £300 off my next account with our holiday savings account. This saves £30 a month
- Stocked up on food with good offeres- things such as oil, butter, cereal, beans etc.
- Planned a few cheap meals to get us through. The freezer is full so we shouldnt eat too badly in May - it will be june where is will be beans on toast and jackets all month!
- Recieved £100 cashback finally for my phone - been chasing it since November
- We went out for drinks last night and a bbq with friends and i have a meal with our skittle team next week - that should make us feel we have been sociable for a while.
- For my birthday i am going to ask my bro to get us vouchers for the restaurant he works in as it is my fave place to eat and means we can go out.
- Getting used to not have sky now - reading more, playing the xbox and watching boxsets

Getting there slowly - this next month will be a huge test money wise!Orange Fairy

Hi orange fairy. Sorry to hear about your work situation. I'm guessing it's worse cos family are involved. In a different job you could go to HR but I'm guessing it's not possible here.
Good luck with your applicationsGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Good to see the posts and hear about the job applications. Well done!

Good luck with the job applications. Sounds to me as though you're being bullied by your aunt and uncle - so you're better off out of there I reckon.
I've got everything crossed for you.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Good luck with the job applications, sounds like they are being really petty.
Yay for getting the cashback finally.0
