For all yous who love bring food back from Vegas this place thats opened up near me may be of interest as you can shop online too - http://www.americansoda.co.uk/uk/American-Soda/Home/default.aspx

There are a couple similar near us or my in-laws but the prices put me off so, so much...Kraft Macaroni and Cheese for £2.99 a box...we bought a box of 5 for $5 last month and brought it back. :) Though we do use these sorts of shops for the occasional one-off when we really really want something. And my hubby regularly does some stocking stuffer shopping for me (last year's highlight was bacon flavoured lip balm - disgusting and jalepeno cheddar Cheetos which I thought were the best things ever for awhile).

but oooh, they do have dark chocolate Flipz which I did not find in Vegas...so...tempting!

I just booked MGM Grand for my trip next June. We are then for 7 nights (22nd-29th June), for some reason the rates at MGM for 22nd June were sky high - there must be some sort of event on that night? So we only booked for our final 6 nights. That worked out at $52.08 per person per night based on 2 sharing, and that includes all taxes and resort fees. A ludicrously good deal I thought given how amazing the rooms look! Has anyone here stayed in one? It says NEW on the website so not sure if they are recent refurbs or what?

For our first night I think we will just go for somewhere cheep and cheerful, Hooters is only across the road from MGM and is coming in at about 15 or 20 quid for a room for that Saturday night so probably just as well going for that.

    I AM SO EXCITED

Got back yesterday from 9 nights in Vegas, think I need a week off work to recover! Flew out of Gatwick with Virgin, upgraded planes now have better tv/movie monitor thingies, food was what you'd expect. :( Stayed at 4 Queens on Fremont Street, we always stay Downtown cos it's so much cheaper than the Strip, and there's always something happening. Used the SDX to get around this year, first time we've used it, and we were very impressed with it. Shopped at North & South Premium outlets, spent 4 days at the convention centre for the SEMA show, highlights were a trip to the Grand Canyon, and a night time helicopter flight over the strip. Flight back was delayed, so spent hours feeding the last of our spending money into the slots at McCarran airport. Great trip, bit absolutely shattered now!
