Being putt of this idea, part of the draw to vegas was that it was such value for money but with flights in around 800 mark and hotels around 100 a night with no extras I'm suprised business is still booming

It still is value for money

depending on time of year flights can still be had for about £550 and there are still hotel prices for less than £50 a night again of course depending on where you stay.

How much are hotels now!!! When did the 70 dollars a night including show tickets and dinner go from smartervegas?
    When Elvis left the building.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

The main pool at flamingo is adults only now, there is a very small family pool.

The main pool by all accounts is full of drunk 20 somethings these days

Orleans could be an option if you want a nice pool that doesnt get to busy but it doesnt have the wow factor and is off strip

Who is the wow factor for, the kids will be wowed whereever you take them
Yeah I wouldn't take my kids there. Even the small pool (which is really kitch) gets the overflow. Just a sign of the times in Vegas, anything to entice the wannabe Cali crowd to dream that they are somebodies. That pool was ideal for children but I guess they don't spend money. Everything is geared to the 20 somethings as far as pools go. We escape to M Resort on Friday and Saturday nights now.
Thanks luci about the update on the Flamingo pool entry thing.

One thing to consider is whether or not you want to do some laundry when you are there. :rotfl:
Great point, with little ones it would be essential. Platinum it has got to be then with the in room laundry facilities and free Snuggles and Tide.:j

I think platinum would be first choice but again quite expensive at 180 dollars a night for my dates like the look of wedding on the roof though

depends when you want to go, and if you can wait for sales in January and making the most of hotels' offers. mind you, taking two very young kids to a 21+ resort, it's possibly not the best holiday/destination for value for money?

but then having said that, think of the money you'll save on a UK wedding! so spend that ;)
