    VALUE FOR MONEY
I haven't had my eBookers transaction track yet on Quidco :s
It's only been a couple of days, will wait another couple before I start to worry.

I booked last night about 1130pm. My quidco tracking email was there this morning, it obviously came through during the night, not sure what time. Hopefully yours will track - is that your beer money? :rotfl:

Am i the only one who doesnt see this as a great saving/alternative.

Firstly no hold luggage, admittedly with BA you can take unlimited weight hand luggage, but even so most people wouldnt go to Vegas for a week without hold luggage...would they?

Secondly you may not get that cheap flight to Dublin as you are tied to a specific day.

Thirdly by the time you add on that flight and an overnight in Dublin the cost will prob be more than the direct flight to start with.

So for the same money you could have took the direct flight a day earlier and had an extra night in Vegas and had clothes to wear while you are there

    Just my opinion

I've done the Dublin connection -it was great. I actually needed a day in Dublin to visit the public records office anyway so I flew out early on a Ryan air flight from Gatwick -flew BACK in the evening on the first leg of my DUB (LON) LAS flight ticket (so my baggage stayed at Gatwick in left luggage for the day at Gatwick) checked into Yotel (very close to VS check in and cheap) . Next morning I checked my bag in early and returned to my room for a shower, leisurely coffee and a bun whilst watching Sky news then strolled through security. Coming back I explained I needed my bag at Gatwick as it was a long layover and VS happily checked my bag just to London ...and then I "missed" the London Dublin leg. Even with the Ryanair flight and the Yotel it saved me £200. The day in Dublin that I needed to do at some point anyway was jam on top :D

A variation on Rory's trip -but same principle (but more fragrant as I get to shower ...although most airports have showers available for all night beer swigging 20 somethings anyway). I have found that sometimes an open jaw DUB (LON) LAS LON works out even cheaper than DUB LAS rtn too btw.

Been a while since been on here, having had both children the misses and I have decided to get married in vegas
I'm on the forum after ideas looking for a hotel which ideally has suites and a pool decent for children aged 3 and 1,
things have certainly changed since my last trip with prices having rocketed and no longer able to find the deals of old, plus resort fees ruining any good bargain
( my last trip was 40 pounds a night in mgm with free 3 daily buffet passes and 20 dollars credit ad free ka trip)
So essentially im after advice on where to stay my current options are
    - looking at mgm complex with us and 2 kids staying in 1 bedroom suite in signature while family sy in cheaper grand, as has amazing pool for kids, however with resort fee this is very expensive
    - flamingo again kid friendly pool but not so many suites
    - palazzo agin kid friendly and lovely rooms but not sepperate bedroom suite for the youngsters to sleep in

I'm not familiar with any of the new hotels and in particularly the new condo styles so would value opinions on this as on villas
Thanks for Any tips on the new vegas (last went 2009)
Would also value not to many comments about not taking children to vegas as I've really thought about the pros and cons in detail and having lived and worked in vegas before have got a good background of stuff to do for them it's just realistically this is the least stressful way to go ( the first plan was me go for a stag do for a week then her for a week for her hen!)

I meant that usually young lads in Vegas want to go to a club or a high end bar (Ghost/Voodoo Lounge, etc), my son is going to be 30 while he is in Vegas and him and his mate have a few clubs and bars to sus out, but then he would give Tracy a run for her money on the amount of gear he can pack, but with limited clothes even if you did want to do something for a big night out the option isn't there.

Ah right, I see what you mean now. Well to be honest we're not really the type to go to big nightclubs or bars..much prefer just having a few beers in the hotel room and chatting away. I think we will probably each take a suit out with us as well, cos let's face it, nothing is as cool as walking around Vegas like a boss in a suit..but I guess we can just wear that on the plane so that we don't need to pack it!

I was just thinking of suggesting Platinum, there were people there with kids when we were there. It even has an indoor section in the pool if you want to keep the kids out of the sun.

Stoneman - I totally forgot to check the tv when I was there!!!

I thought of Platinum too based on what I'd read from you guys here...but didn't want to suggest it since I don't have any personal experience with the place.

Also, I have never stayed at Flamingo so again probably should not comment...but I gather that the pool gets really really busy, so wouldn't necessarily think it would be a great option for kids of such a young age...I also do not have children, but I do have a niece and nephew and at that age we were lucky to have the pool in our non-Vegas hotel to ourselves with them...with a bunch of adults and possibly older kids it would have been uncomfortable with the little ones, I think.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

yeah thanks everyone and good to see the same faces on here!
yeah i thought of platinum myself as really like the idea of having the double bed suite
    my only conerns was
1 if the pool was child friendly enough ?it looks v small compared to mgm/mbay/flamingo
2 how far off strip is it? although ive been before loads this is the inlaws first time and so how hard is it going to be for them to get to and from the strip? is it safe to walk it?
3, has it got the wow factor? of other hotels?

Well you are correct that the pool and maybe the hotel does not have the wow factor, but with a 1 an 3 year old I would want to be able to keep an eye on them. The main pool is about 10Mtrs x 25Mtrs, steps into a shallow end then goes to about 2.5 Mtrs deep. The indoor section, which you get to by swimming through the outdoor pool (or walking through the door) is smaller but only about chest high, and very warm. It is an intimate place, the pool is heated and open throughout the year, very child friendly, they even have a box by the pool with beach balls, etc. 7 minutes walk from room to front of Ballys, shorter than from the MGM by a long way. Area looks a bit rough along Flamingo with a few drunks sometimes but they are really friendly:). 1 minute walk from Ellis Island, 5 minutes to PF Changs and Bahama Breeze. The 2 bed corner suites are huge, and just over double the price of a Princess, so 2 families could stay in one, i think they sleep 6. The Solitaire/Princess suites have pull out settee beds so you and missus can be in the bedroom and kids in the lounge at nights. You get free WIFI, use of the gym, boarding pass print outs, and a full kitchen so you could control what the kids eat.
You can by admission to the Flamingo pool if you wanted, think its about $15 each. Cosmopolitan lets you use one of the pools for free Monday to Friday if you sign up for the players card.
PM me if you decide to go ahead and I will give you the contact email of the room manager, he will give you a really good deal.
