hey all, have we got a good deal for our accomodation here?

in vegas between wed 17th october - sun 21st

first two nights (wed & thurs) - stratosphere - strip view room for £64

second two nights (fri & sat) staying at the Signature, junior suite room for £228

now, only last night, i went online to see Palms has a good offer on their suites and so cancelled the Stratosphere booking, and booked a Studio Suite for £96 for the wed & thurs nights...

anyone stayed at either of these places?

Just a warning to anyone doing "laundry" in vegas, The weather forecast isnt looking too good so avoid putting any out on a line and stick to using the tumble dryer.

Taxi driver today was saying that he drove through water 2ft deep in places on/around the Strip and saw some cars get stuck!

Ted Pretty was saying they've had nearly the annual rainfall already this year (about 4 inches I think). McCarran had about 1" yesterday.

taxi driver also pointed out the building/condo out the front of City Centre which has never been occupied - they're having to reinforce the foundations and so there's a fair bit of roadworks going on. Apparently they had to do something similar to MGM ages ago.

going to try the new Caesars buffet tonight!

they are talking of imploding that soon, the latest info I could find is not till late 2013 early 2014 though due to legal wranglings

Our of those I have only stayed at the Strat, I like it there (most dont because of its position) as the tables have low limits and I love going up the tower.

You do know that none of your choices are are central strip ? that may not be an issue to you of course

They don't have them in any of the rooms at Cosmo. Did you book through Virgin? You may get free wifi, we did in August and looking at their website they have benefits with Cosmo...free wifi, free breakfast buffet for 2 and $30 for drinks at chandelier bar ($28 for 2 cocktails). If you are unsure what you have just ask at front desk, it will be on your booking.

Come on come on...they don't have 'washing lines' in Vegas. At the Platinum there's a nice drying cupboard right beside the safe and it's on an outside wall (west facing in our case and gets lots of sun in the afternoon). Washing dries lovely in there with the door left open. It's always good weather in Vegas for laundry. The forecast is good by the way, rain is a thing of the past now.

I'm actually gutted that my washing is all done. Was quite enjoying it, the machines are so much quicker than at home, and the stuff dries better too. :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Been in Vegas 15+ years and have NEVER put laundry out to dry on a washing line. :)
