what sort of price range were you thinking and what sort of food does she like (or what does she NOT like)?
shes a veggie so it'd be fairly selfish of me to take her to a steak place :rotfl:

but she loves italian food too...

I returned on the 17th of August, haven't put a report up here but I did on another forum I'm a member of.

Just a few tips on how to Gamble and get best use out of stuff there, less tourism than the norm but I'll be sure to post it up here also later on when I can.

What I will say however is I've checked out my TOTAL Rewards hotels for next year...I'm pretty much going to be comped for my full stay on any hotel upwards to Planet Hollywood June/July with the max I'm paying for 2 weeks being £100.00 all in at PH :D

Really pleased with that but when I managed to play through $15,000+ (Took $5000 total) I hoped I'd manage to pull off a decent comp for next year.

So right now I'm looking at flights but sadly my works holiday booking process means I need to wait until December to book them :( Looking at £700ish in June with BA right now so I'll be gutted if it goes up by much by December time.

Just to manage expectations, if you are looking at a calendar, it will likely show most nights as comped...but when you go to book, in our experience and if they have not changed anything recently...the system will normally allow 5 nights comped on any booking max.

So sometimes if you get beyond the calendar, and put in say 7 consecutive nights, it will maybe comp the first 3 - pay for 2 - comp last 2, etc.

Worth playing around with it to get the best combination, and if there are other TR account holders in your party, worth seeing which combinations work out best. Usually for us it works out better for hubby to make the reservation without me as a companion (with my TR number on the booking)...occasionally it works out better for us to both appearon the booking and add me as a companion.

it used to be that I could get 5 nights comped on my own most places, so could hubby - so we did two separate bookings and had them linked so we could get all 8 or 9 consecutive nights free...but never more than 5 nights per booking in our experience. Could have changed though.

Edited to add - it used to be 3 days between comped reservations...so if staying for 2 weeks then it would be possible to consider moving in between comped bookings, possibly...we haven't done it, but I know some who hav.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I've had back to back comped nights without a gap. You can't book them on -line but if you call TR they'll do it (at different hotels )

interesting - will maybe have to try that sometimes...I know someone who a few years ago managed to do a series of 3-night back-to-back comped reservations at different online and they then ended up cancelling some of them because it wasn't allowed...they said there had to be 3 days between comped bookings, so I always assumed that was the case.

    Looking 4ward to Cosmo.
Weather is fab - very hot. Thunder storms expected 2day & flash flooding warning. We are hoping to go to the outlet 2day anyways
Had a few good wins yesterday, so we have pretty much won back all the money we have spent since Thursday - around $500.

    re totalrewards

My comps have vanished (I used 4 comp nights in April) and even the rates once signed in are rubbish, has any one else experienced similar. I have read elsewhere that they are cutting down on comps/offers
