VALUE FOR MONEYWell the thunderstorms didn't happen today, it clouded over late afternoon but that's about it.
We were a bit hungover earlier (post birthday for me), not good going to the wynn for champagne brunch then having cadillac margaritas afterwards lol.
We did late lunch at Bellagio. For any newbies on here this is worth mentioning. If you do lunch at 3pm or so - depending on the changeover time for the place, you can get lunch price and have a plate of food or so, then they tend to switch the food options meaning you get a whole new set of stuff to choose from. Works out quite nicely.
Also, yesterday we were talking to the girl on the desk while we waited at the Wynn buffet and she said that the champagne bump at $12 is always available, so you can have it at any meal. Looks like we might be back for a late lunch, but really really should avoid the casino and the cadillac margaritas next time lol.
Our holiday seems to be going on forever. When we think back a week ago it seems like a month ago. Don't know how pebbles feels when she really is here for weeks on end lol.0 -

Lesley, we don't really think about it that way. We tend to just carry on as we do at home, but with more meals out and a bit of sightseeing here and there. I'd be dead if I did the holiday thing every day for six weeks.0 -
CASINOSre totalrewards
My comps have vanished (I used 4 comp nights in April) and even the rates once signed in are rubbish, has any one else experienced similar. I have read elsewhere that they are cutting down on comps/offers
Just checked my account and there are still plenty of comp nights offered up until August 2013, apart from Ceasears, PH and Paris, but I don't think those hotels were on there last time I looked.
I did use 5 comp nights back in Feb at the Rio.0 -

Thanks but its when I try to pay in Groupon.com that I get trouble as I use my UK address and it just says my postcode is invalid
I had the same issue with Groupon saying my postcode was invalid - is yours a 5 digit one?
Mine is and I tried it with and without a space with no luck - in the end I stuck a 0 in instead of the space and it went through fine0 -

I think part of it might be that because we're at work all week we don't have this much free time usually - so we're probably just enjoying the free time as well. I guess you end up doing things at a slower pace in Vegas because you have more time to do everything. Won't be long now until you are getting set to go. Enjoy.0 -
FREE ATTRACTIONSHi All,
My husband and I are off to Vegas in October. Hubby has never been, I was last there in 1995!
Last time I stayed at the Luxor, this time New York New York. I only played the slots back then and they took coins too - think I will miss the clanging sound of coins being paid out this time round (the noise from the coins is part of the fun of playing for me).
Anyway this time around, am thinking of taking some gaming lessons - do you peeps have any suggestions where hubby and I could learn to play the tables? I think I read somewhere that Excalibur give free daily gaming lessons but would like to hear your views on where would be good to go.

Maybe its because I live in the sticks, think I will just have to ignore Groupon deals as i can't see any way around it. Could it be the credit card I am using?
I pay with papal for rest.com so no problem, actually no problem with any us site apart from groupon.

Most if not all casinos offer lessons at diffrent times of the day on different games. Just ask in any casino you are in or buy the Americancasinoguide as I think some times are listed in there and of course you will get all the money off coupons.
Even if you dont have a lesson all the dealers will help you as it in their interest to get you playing and other players will often help as well.
there are also many virtual sites where you can play different types of cards, roullette and craps for fun0
